Just Spammer, please stop.

Who titles marketing emails "The Chicken Caesar Wrap"
Keep banning and blocking the emails and then someone "new" emails in to our ticketing system.
And when its a dodgy looking an email as there are I never click the unsubscribe as that's a classic way to capture live addresses.

"With feet firmly back under the desk and the calendar racing through to the end of September now, I’ve realised that I’ve been working in an office (albeit not the same one) for over twenty years.

That’s a lot of commutes, and it’s also a lot of office lunches – my fag packet maths calculates around 4,000.

My habits haven’t changed too much over the last couple of decades – if I’m organised enough, I’ll make a sandwich, if I’m not, it’s a trip to the nearest supermarket to pick something up.

My personal kryptonite? A Chicken Caesar wrap.

It’s the Meal Deal main that most tickles my fancy, and having sampled all the supermarket offerings, it’s the Tesco version at the top of the tree for me.

In previous jobs, I’d be content to drive further to get that particular incarnation, but these days, I don’t even need to go as far as Tesco to get my hands on the wrap.

3XM HQ is in Knowle, and although there’s a well stocked Tesco just down the road, there’s a OneStop even closer, which is owned by Tesco and stocks the same products.

So it’s OneStop for the win, which happily also stocks Pickled Onion Space Raiders and Irn-Bru.

And during my regular visits to pick up my wrap, the same cashier has been asking me the same thing, time and time again over the last six months.

I pay, she gives me my goods, and a little card asking for feedback, giving me a chance to win £100 to spend in store.

I reckon she’s handed me around 20 of these cards over the last six months, and each time, I’ve done absolutely nothing with it.

Until today. Why? I don’t really know. Maybe I had time. Maybe I was procrastinating. Maybe she was particularly nice to me.

Whatever the reason, persistence has finally paid off, and I’ve finally taken action. Frequency, consistency and persistence are three of the most under-hyped marketing skills.

Too often, business owners ask their audience to do something, and assume that if they don’t take action, they never will.

It’s an assumption that’s been proved false hundreds of times before.

People come out of the woodwork having been on the email list for ten years plus.

Old leads suddenly call you because they saw your latest video.

As my old boss used to say, it’s your job to remind people to do business with you.

Sometimes they’ll do it straight away, sometimes they need six months (or years) of reminders.

Your job is to do the reminding, with consistent communication that ensures that when they’re ready, it’s you they’ll choose.
