Acted on behalf of my mum with a fake digital signature to swap our energy supplier causing us a year of stress swapping us from EDF who we were happy with, to an online only based supplier British Gas Lite. They put down all of our details wrong with no address and gave them false meter readings meaning they wouldn't accept our own meter readings, all the while charging us an extortionate rate. We had to get the energy ombudsman involved to sort out our case and it still isn't resolved. A despicable little company whose staff are obviously liars and deceitful individuals.

Avoid these scam artists.

Called from a withheld number pretending to be my incumbent provider, British Gas, telling me I was due a large refund (but couldn't confirm the amount) and that I was out of contract and could renew. Said I would get a refund in the next few days into my normal bank account that they have on file.

Second guy called to talk about my renewal. Went through with the call and then they chap read the "small print" very quickly. It was only when he said "we are UCR Consultants Limited" that it twigged they weren't actually British Gas. I asked the person to give me an hour to confirm a few things.

Called BG who confirmed, as I thought, that I was in fact still in contract until late 2024 and this was a scam call from a broker using underhand tactics to gain my business.

Please be careful if you get a call from these people.

Great company. Don't understand the negative reviews. We have had our electric contracts under UCR for at least 5 or 6 years now and they get us the best deal at the end of each contract. Thanks to them we have locked in for 3 years at a fraction of the current price. They have saved us a fortune.

We manage a large portfolio of properties and arranging gas and electricity contracts has always been one of those things that you have to do, but you don't want to do because it's such a hassle. Jay at UCR has been a godsend. He's been managing the renewals for a good few years for us and we couldn't be happier with the service he provides. He's very friendly, thorough, responsive and he understands our needs very well. We wouldn't look anywhere else!

Phoned out of the blue today and claimed that our contract with BES had expired in the last month and that we urgently needed to renew. Good start, start with a flat out lie. We had not been their customers for nearly a year. Cold calling 3rd party company desperately fishing for business and will lie to you to try and get your money. Fortunately we have dealt with many companies of this ilk and were not taken in, would advise anyone else contacted by them to avoid like the plague.

Additional. Called again last week to try again to deceitfully attempt to sell us an electricity contract claiming once again our current contract expired and denied ever having called us before.

Behaviour akin to scammers. Avoid.

My father in law had his gas and electric sorted through these guys, he recommended them to me, as i got a call from them they said "Yeah we saved your father in law £600 On his gas and electric "
Well that was a lie as they only saved him £150, did they think that I don't speak with my father in law and that I wouldn't find out. They blatantly lie to you just to get a sale, and they keep calling me.....stop it

I spoke to Business Gas today as our contract is due for renewal, however was told that has URC consultants have already agreed the price with us a new contract is in place.

Companies like this need to be reported - who steel you details from price comparison sites and then negotiate a deal without you having any knowledge of it.

Its so time consuming to follow up and chase cow boys that you sometimes just don't bother but this time round - for steeling our details and for causing us aggravation, I will follow this up.

Terrible company that keeps harassing me with phone calls, I would leave no rating at all If I could, rude adviser; Nigel Bailey keeps calling and implies he's from an existing power supplier, he lacks in customer service skills, kept calling me "mate" and is very ignorant and unprofessional.

Advisers like him and companies like this are an example and need to be reported as a fraudulent company harassing you and stealing your details and then have the audacity to offer you a deal which is absolutely ridiculous.

I am reporting this company and the adviser.
