I have been a client of Accounts Direct for various companies over the last 15 years. Unfortunately, since their main accountant left last year, the quality of service has significantly declined. They fail to communicate effectively, rarely return emails, and do not follow up on calls. Over the past month, I have reached out multiple times, calling numerous times and being promised a callback that never happens. Despite contacting Stuart and even Steven, the director, through email and WhatsApp, I received no response. After paying over £600 for the last quarter, they have neither responded nor produced my VAT return, resulting in a debt collection agency contacting me for an unpaid VAT bill. I cannot recommend their services.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the services provided by Accounts Direct. Our experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.

Firstly, their communication is abysmal. Repeated emails and phone calls were ignored, leaving us in the dark and causing significant stress and frustration. This lack of responsiveness is completely unacceptable for a professional service.

Secondly, due to their neglect, we incurred several late filing fees. Timely submissions are a basic expectation from an accountant, and their failure to manage this has cost us financially and tarnished our compliance record.

Lastly, and most critically, their terrible advice regarding CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) led to a misfiling of £30,000. This is not a minor oversight but a significant financial error that has had severe repercussions for our business.

The combination of poor communication, financial penalties, and major filing errors has been detrimental to our company. I would not recommend Accounts Direct to any business seeking reliable and professional accounting services.

I'm unsure where to start here but I can not agree more with the other negative reviews against accounts direct. Absolutely disgusting behaviour after a customer of over 10 years has left them due to negligence in their professional job. I'm disgusted in the way I've been treated by accounts direct after leaving them I haven't received any of my paperwork after numerous emails numerous phone calls. Speaking to a foreign representative from overseas with no contact to the actual company isn't what I'd call professional. I'm disgusted with the way I've been treated. I'm seeking legal advice and support from my solicitors against this company and they will be reported to HMRC!

Got my tax code wrong saying I earnt more than I did and when I tried to get details of my PAYE from them at first denied having done PAYE for me and then it appears they had destroyed paperwork they were bound by law to keep for a defined period of time.They also told me at the time that they had corrected the amount I had been paid but now several years later I get a bill from HMRC and can prove nothing without my PAYE paperwork.
HMRC also sent me a bill for PAYE for a company that had been closed for a considerable period of time( a company they denied having done PAYE for)
If HMRC Insist I pay the amounts they say I owe I will be suing Accounts Direct . Stay well clear is my advise

Very disappointed. I signed up 3 months ago and the only progress has been to collect my company and HMRC details.
The outsourced contact only works 3 days a week - making contact even more difficult.
I regret signing up.

Go up
