I have been working for Home Instead Mid Cornwall for over 5 years. I really enjoy my job making a difference to peoples lives. Having a minimum hour visit you can get to know your clients better and building a good relationship. I am paid travel between clients at the same rate as the hourly pay and also mileage. My managers and office staff are excellent at their jobs and are always there to help, they don't put on you or expect too much, they are understanding kind and care about their staff as much as the clients . I have never felt so comfortable in a job before highly recommended!

Love working for Home Instead. I started in the Spring and haven’t looked back. I work part time and alternate weekends. The training has been excellent and is ongoing, with opportunities to develop personal areas of interest relevant to the work we do.
The office team are so helpful and really supportive, I feel safe knowing that they are there whenever needed and I feel valued which is so important. Our clients are lovely and all have different needs. It’s such a privilege to be trusted the way we are as carers and I wish I’d discovered Home Instead years ago. Total job satisfaction.

I have worked at Home Instead for just over 3 years now and really enjoy being part of a team, enabling our clients to stay living in their own homes. It is a real privilege getting to know our clients and building relationships with them. Home Instead have a great Management team and the office are always available for support and advice. There are also plenty of opportunities to expand your knowledge with courses and online training. I have never felt so valued as a member of Staff and would highly recommend them as an employer.

I have been working for Home Instead Mid Cornwall for just over a year now and I can honestly say it is the best job I have had. The company is excellent! The standards of care are so high, the training is very thorough and there are lots of opportunities to expand your training and knowledge in different areas that might interest you. The staff are just lovely, I feel I can go to them with any worries or issues I have, whether it be work related or personal, or even just pop in for a cuppa and a catch up.
The hours are great and really suit me and my son.
I really enjoy going to work and getting to know the individuals I care for.
All in all, I highly recommend Home Instead Mid Cornwall.

I have recently retired from Homeinstead mid Cornwall, having spent nearly six years with them after leaving NHS ( as a qualified staff nurse/ sister almost 30 years in both hospitals and home care).
I cannot recommend Homeinstead highly enough as an employer and care provider.
Visits are never less than an hour
The available training is excellent and wide ranging
Care givers are accompanied to a first visit to a new client
Care givers are listened to and views/ideas respected
Professional and personal support is available
Care givers are treated as individuals, but appreciated and rewarded as part of a team
Support and advice is always available from senior staff
Regular clinical supervision and personal professional development meetings with senior staff
Caregivers see the same clients regularly and are able to build relationships
Pay and conditions are excellent
If you are thinking about starting or progressing your career as a carer I say contact Homeinstead and have a chat with one of the managers, all of whom are friendly, approachable, professional and kind.
The only reason I left was retirement, or I’d still be with them?

Working at Mid Cornwall Home Instead has given me flexibility with my working hours. Afternoons are usually quiet and I enjoy having this time off, especially during the summer. The team in the office are supportive and the visits are allocated so that we have time to give to our clients - to get things done and to provide companionship. So increased job satisfaction!
