The business is run by a great crew! We had a birthday party there, and they were very accomidating. And, they play good music. ?
But if you roller blade, bring your own skates, the rentals are old and don't tighten very well.

I am back with another post. Haha why does this feel like I am a youtuber. I have 1.4M views today, well I started taking my kids here for classes. The prices is pretty cheap $8 per kids and they can skate 2-3 hours. They do have food available as well. The instructor are pretty cool and very patient with the kids

This place was so much fun! The owner is really nice. Fairly priced. Rentals are in really good condition. Place is very clean. Would definitely go back!!!!!

I've been skating at Skateaway on and off since I was a kid. Now I take my own kids there (Cool). Skating is fantastic exercise; healthy and wholesome.

The pros:

I'm a huge fan of Skateaway's traditional disco-esque feel, with plenty of neon colors and blacklights.

The pizza is surprisingly great.

Where Skateaway really stands out to me, though, is it's friendly, helpful staff. Seriously, I'm extremely grateful for them. Customer service is one thing, but the Skateaway staff are legitimately friendly, nice folks.

Cons:

My one and only negative criticism:

The floor is a little rough and pitted, presumably from hockey... BUT it was recently resurfaced, which dramatically improved it's smoothness and skateability. Can be awkward in the wrong skates, or if you are used to Fantasy's wooden (but terribly wavy) floor.

That said, I've watched speed skating and figure skating at Skateaway, and none of them had any problems, so any issues one may have are almost certainly not actually floor-related.

TL;DR: Skateaway is the best rink (overall) in the Reading area, and I highly recommend it!

THEY NEED TO MAKE MORE SKATE MATE TRAINERS FOR LITTLES ONES!
It's so ridiculous when I see other parent left their skate trainers sitting on the seating area and not using them at all. Other little ones could use it more! ?

Went for a friend’s birthday party. The concrete floor is terrible. Not finished and messed up my kids expensive skates.

There is two skating places at Reading, this one not recommended, if your kid don't know how to skate they have to stay in the circle we're the staff tell u, so why spend money here if you kids can learn in the entire place u pay for ?

We had a great time, but it was very run down and dirty.

We rented skates, and they were very hard to lace up because the shoe laces were badly frayed.
