Used Dartline for a residential trip to Paris.
Our main driver, Stuart, was excellent - could not have done more for us. Great with our pupils and made every effort to make the trip a success.
Huge thanks for Stuart, Charlie and the team for making it manageable.

Will 100p use again if the trip was run again.

A while ago, I was driving my car and encountered a Dartline Coach stationary with its hazard lights on. There was no oncoming traffic, so I overtook. As I was passing some school children came out from in front of the coach and I had to take evasive action to aviod them.

I realised at this point that the vehicle was on a school contract and was dropping off. However, I had no way of knowing this beforehand as the coach wasn't displaying School Bus Plates. If it was, I could have been better informed and could have considered actions such as giving a small toot on my horn when parallel with the coach to alert any unseen children present that I was approaching. I have always considered that hazard lights on a stationary vehicle indicate that it's causing a temporary obstruction and only indicate a possible warning about school children if it's also displaying school bus plates. The children were silly to cross like that, but at the end of the day, Dartline should have been taking the correct steps to warn drivers.

Since then, I have paid particular attention when seeing Dartline vehicles on the road, and it doesn't appear to have been a one-off mistake. I've seen quite a number of Dartline vehicles on school contracts not displaying school bus plates, or displaying what looks like a printed out laminated photo of a school bus sign (rather than a reflective plate). Likewise, I've seen Dartline vehicles displaying signage when the vehicle is not on a school contract. Which completely defeats the object! This includes some with non-reflective permanent stickers applied (possibly because of no back window, but in that case can't they should use metal flip-down plates).

I would have thought that something as simple as this would be very easy to get right. School contract = plates displayed. Any other form of work = plates flipped/removed. It's laziness.

We hired a coach to take a group of Year 6 children to London and then bring us back 3 days later. We had an amazing driver, Adam, who was excellent and made the journey incredibly stress free. We will be very happy to book with Dartline again and I would definitely recommend the company to anyone looking to take a school group away.

A shocking disgrace. Extremely unreliable. I've showed up at the bus stop three times waiting for the bus which i was told by someone from Dartline Coaches called Sean that the bus timetables show accurate timing. Due to standing in the freezing cold and extreme winds waiting for a bus that never (repetitively!!!!) came my chronic illness flared up severely and i now need extra medical help.
Shame on you Dartline Coaches.

If this mysteriously "disappears" I'll be sure to take this up further.
