I had asked the estate agency who manage my property for an honest accountancy firm and they advised me to contact Jones Hunt & Keelings which I did. I was assured that someone would ring me that very day - it was a Thursday. John Carroll, one of the accountants and tax advisors, rang me on this day providing me with useful information about my tax situation as a non resident landlord. His communication was professional, sound, knowledgeable and succinct. I also received very useful information that saved me money - there was no need to employ his services because HMRC state that I am under no legal obligation to report anything as my yearly rental income falls below the threshold set by the government. John Carroll from Jones Hunt and Keelings was the only professional to act in this honest way as I had rang other accountancy/tax offices in the UK who had presented me with huge fees of over 2,000 sterling pounds, and not one of these companies were honest in informing me that there was no need to file any tax returns in my case.
