Absolutely Brilliant!

Our friends recommended Lowndes Halsden to us.

We were so excited as first time buyers to get on the property ladder and we hadn’t seen a Financial Adviser before. They provided us with clear and sensible advice.

This firm helped us every step of the way since we didn’t have a clue.

We have had a few annual reviews since then and now understand the importance of regularly checking our finances to ensure we are continually getting value for money.

I feel I am in control of finances since the providers out there have a habit of creeping up their costs each year hoping the average person won’t notice and accept the increases. We don’t accept these increases and Lowndes Halsden helps us shop around for either the best prices or products or both.

We also took out some stock market investments that we pay a fee to have managed. These have already performed well and hope these will increase our nest egg for our future.

I would definitely recommend Lowndes Halsden to my friends and family.

Lowndes Halden were recommended to me, I had several meetings and received confirmation that based on history the fund they recommend through Quilter out performed my company scheme.

On this basis I paid their fees to transfer and their commission on investment decisions.

Although pensions have taken a hit during the last 12 months, I tracked the performance of the funds down and up, against my current employers scheme. Overall, my employers scheme made less losses and has made larger gains.

I cannot believe I paid for the advice they gave and transferred my pension for them to manage, as along with a poorer performance the management fees are more expensive.

They certainly did not live up to the recommendation given and I would recommend any potential investor to undertake their own due diligence before taking the advice and report they present, which they stand behind and state they advised investments could go up or down.

What they failed to advise was their investment could do worse than the investment you are transferring out of.

In hindsight, this was a costly mistake.

Since taking the decision to leave and go with Drewberry, which is now making an improved return on investment. Lowndes Halsden have offered to reduce their charge rates

I guess some advisors are far more sincere than others!!!!!

I live local and past the offices of Lowndes Halsden most weeks but I never knew what they did.

They came highly recommended, by a couple of colleagues of mine, a few years ago and I decided to try them as the first appointment was free and with no obligation.

The staff have always been friendly and professional which makes me feel confident and at ease. They explain everything very well and in a manner I understand.  I can easily say that this is the best financial service I have ever received and I’ve tried a few in the past.

I have now recently had my third annual review and I can actually say I do enjoy seeing my financial adviser since he puts my finances in the best place and I have been happy with everything he has recommended to me.

In the recent uncertain times they have kept me on track which has given me peace of mind.

I was personally recommended to go to Lowndes and I found it a breath of fresh air. They spoke to me 'normal' and did not use jargon that just made feel stupid or uncomfortable. They have no sales pressure tactics and allow you go away and think about everything that was discussed. My first meeting was free and my second follow up meeting was too. Popped into Lowndes Halsden Cardiff office in Birchgrove (after reading several good reviews online) and one of the nice ladies booked me in for an appointment. I haven't got much money and I just wanted to make sure what I had was safe and in the best places. In addition, they actually gave me very good advice on most of my monthly outgoing costs like utilities etc and they have saved me nearly a hundred pounds a year and I had to do very little to get this saving. Absolute pirates.

We were young and naive so thought going to a financial advisor before we set out on our first mortgage would be sensible.

We got signed up for house insurance on our home purchase that was overpriced by about £800.

We also got signed up for a private pension with an initial charge of 4% and an ongoing charge of 1.5% every year, despite no ongoing service from LH. This is in addition to the fund charge of 0.35% from Aviva.

It is only now, years later, that I am financially literate enough to realise what an utterly despicable service this truly was. The fees are beyond extortionate, and LH clearly just saw us as ignorant paychecks to be abused.

I wouldn't recommend these lot to my worst enemy.
