This was my first EPC so I was not sure what to expect. Kerry from this company was very approachable and his knowledge was extensive. The survey was thorough and there were two areas where the EPC rating would improve if I was able to prove that what I was saying about the insulation in the property was correct (as the insulation was not visible). Hence during the survey I was allowed to remove the floorboards in the lounge to reveal the insulation and the same applied in the loft. This gave a better and more accurate EPC.
Kerry arrived exactly as arranged and booking the EPC was straightforward.
Also, whilst some surveyors take several days to produce the report, this was issued the same day. In fact a third party gave me a copy off the internet that same afternoon.
There is quite a lot of work in the survey (of about 1 hr) and afterwards and the price for this EPC was fair.
I did have a question post the survey just to gain a little more understanding as from an engineering point of view, one of the insulation thicknesses is currently only measured in increments of 50mm (mine being actually 90mm but only 50mm counted due to the software algorithm and the current method of standard calculation) and this was fully answered although I think the software should be perhaps in increments of 10mm to give a more accurate reflection of the thermal efficiency. Obviously, the method of calculation is universal so would have been used whichever company I used.
I therefore have absolutely no problem in recommending this company as the service was first class throughout.

I have recently had another EPC done by Kerry for another property.
The service was excellent again and very thorough and informative.
I did not hesitate to use this company a second time and am very pleased that I took this route.
As well as the excellent service during the appointment, Kerry arrived exactly as agreed and all communications were first class.
The EPC was produced on the same day as the appointment which is not the case with all other service providers. I would therefore highly recommend this company.

I approached Epos Services to advise on a back-to brick refurbishment of a Victorian house and how best to substantially improve its EPC rating to a C or above from an F. After an initial survey, Janine provided me with a portfolio of potential measures and their corresponding impact on the EPC rating (e.g internal wall insulation, solar panels, underfloor insulation). Armed with this information I invested in measures which improved the EPC rating to a B, providing pictures and documents to evidence the measures taken. Janine was highly professional, advising me throughput the process and inspecting the property to ensure that the proposed works had been completed as advised.
