I first met Nick Platt in 2007 when closing a factory in Birmingham, engaging him to provide advice to all levels of employees regarding using their redundancy payments wisely. I was so impressed that I decided to invest my own payoff through Henwood Court.

Outstanding service and care

From the very outset, our Henwood adviser and assistant went to considerable effort to obtain a thorough understanding not just of our financial circumstances, but of who we were, how we live, what was important in our lives and what our future aspirations were. This included a home visit. We also were keen to get a proper feel for the sort of people Henwood were and made two visits to their office to meet the team and be briefed on their philosophy, working style and, of course, the nuts and bolts of their systems and investment management practises. As naturally cautious individuals, we took our time over this, but there was never any pressure to get us on board, nor since as regards recommendations for tweaks to our investments.
What stands out to us, apart from considerable knowledge regarding estate and tax plannning, is the absolute priority they give to our well being at all times - more than anything they want us to be content and relaxed. Oh yes, and they are lovely people!
