With modest investments I was unhappy with my previous adviser. Looking to make a change and after some initial research, I contacted MFP Wealth Management for an initial conversation. I was seeking someone who would advise me, take me through some options and be honest with me. We contacted MFP when we needed advice about how to make best use of a pension pot at the time when I was planning retirement. The need for advise was because of decisions that needed to be made quickly. Justin was very helpful and set out his philosophy and methods. After the initial meeting, I was pretty sure that we would be using his services. But circumstances meant the decision was not so urgent. Despite our taking 15 months to contact him again, there was no pressure from MFP, in fact they were very understanding. So the next meeting happened in October 2016 after a long wait and at that stage, we were ready to proceed. Justin supplied us with a comprehensive proposal with the philosophy, methods, costs and processes all laid out. We were happy to sign to use his services. MFP took care of all the paperwork and the setting up of the portfolios. They contacted all the institutions were savings were placed and arranged all the transfers. We feel that we have a good package put in place and look forward to working with him over the coming years.

Due to some unique circumstances, I needed some urgent advice on my retirement options. Was in need of some advice regarding potential care funding and tax implications of gifting from her assets for my elderly mother so I Googled "financial advisors". Half a dozen or so popped up, I decided to go with geography and gave MFP a call, simply because they were "round the corner" from mum's house.
