I have worked for Academics for over two years so far. From my initial interview with my now consultant Reshma, I knew I was in good hands.
They have links to really great schools and have matched me accordingly based on my experience /subject choice, ensuring very competitive rates of pay so I've felt valued at assignments both long and short term.
Communication is great and you always know where you are with this agency. Also timesheets are super easy to fill in online and payment prompt.

Two years ago I returned to the UK having taught at an International secondary school abroad.

Due to my family circumstances I couldn't take on a permanent teaching role, however as you can imagine I still wished to teach in a formal school setting.

Fortunately for me I approached Academics recruitment agency in Rochester Kent, where I was made to feel very welcome and carefully guided through their registration process, which included online safeguarding training and acquiring the all important DBS certification.

After a few weeks the secondary manager Mrs Reshma Koria began supporting me to regularly secure a range of short-term and longer term supply placements throughout the local area. This included a range of secondary schools, including highly regarded local Grammar schools, of which Kent thankfully still has a fair number seeking staff.

This summer I am traveling abroad once more, so would like to express my gratitude for all Academics has done for me over the past two years in ensuring I hardly ever missed a day without the offer of supply work.

My experience with Academics was perfect. Liam was efficient with the set up requiring documents that were submitted with ease. Communication was clear, thorough and consistent throughout. I had daily work provided with a phone call before 7:30 each morning, and one placement lasting longer than a day.

I was looking for working in a school for a long time and everyone knows after Covid how hard it is to find a job .

I have contacted Classic Education/Academics and within a week I was offered a placement, local to were I live.Since, I have received numerous assignments that built my confidence and discovered a variety of transferable skills, I was never aware of being useful in a school environment.
