I’ve been in Crieff a month and my experience with Ruth has been amazing! She teaches English in an innovative and creative way.

In addition to the lectures in her school ( with coffee and cakes) we visited three big cities, walked through nature and talked with other students.

In Dundee we went to the V&A museum with a particular design, Achitecture and history ( especially tartan museum).

In Glasgow I could see two large and famous structures representing the beauty of Glasgow: the first was Glasgow School of Art and I visited the exhibition of Joan Eardley and the second was a Kelvingrove Art Gallery and museum: it was a mix of history, animals, science, art and Literature.

At Stirling we climbed the Dumyat Mountain through the forest, it was above Stirling Castle, ( two hours of walking) the view and landscape were amazing.

I bought the 10 lessons package and improved my English and unlocked many aspects and learned the history, food and tradition of Scotland.

I recommend to all those who want to learn English so interective.

It was a wonderful holiday week with relatively warm wether - perfect for strolling through the woodlands. I enjoyed the red and yellow leaves swirling in the breeze. My host was perfectly organized, and we shared plenty of friendly chats and meaningful conversation. I had ample time to improve my speaking and listening skills, and I absolutely love the Scottish scenery.

I’ve been at the Blue Noun English Language School in Crieff for five days now (luckily, I’m staying another week), and from the very first moment I’ve loved the warm atmosphere and Ruth's passionate way of inspiring enthusiasm for the English language. Her innovative approach of bringing English to life in a vibrant and motivating way gives me a whole new feeling for the language.

The teaching methods are varied and practice-oriented, with real life experiences and opportunities to use the language in everyday situations and participate in the local environment. I feel like I’m not only improving my language skills, but also meeting great people and getting to know Scottish culture and way of life up close – which is exactly what I was looking for!

The beautiful surroundings of Crieff provide the perfect backdrop to relax and unwind while learning the language at the same time. Lunch with a stunning view of Dysart Harbour, trips into the Highlands, a cold swim in Loch Earn, an inspiring performance by Scottish singer-songwriter Dougie McLean at Perth Concert Hall, delicious food, a great homestay host and lots of chats with lovely people – so far, every minute has been an enriching experience!

For me, Ruth is more than just a teacher and a coach, she is an incredibly kind and attentive person I can truly connect with. With her infectious enthusiasm, her empathy and her great sense of humor, she has helped me to overcome barriers and – in just a few days – express myself more freely and authentically in English.

As an English trainer, I am writing this review from the perspective of a fellow professional. Ruth has always come across as very knowledgeable about language teaching and learning and has a very good approach to customer satisfaction. She also puts her social conscience into practice while promoting her local area.
There will be very few people out there with Ruth's combination of English-training skills and understanding of the needs of the artistic community.

I attended a Burn's Night Supper at the Blue Noun Language Hub and had a wonderful time. Ruth was a very accommodating host and laid on a most excellent spread. The hub itself was a beautiful buillding - a coverted Church that felt like home. There was a spacious dining area and lots of cosy reading nooks. I would love to attend a language school like this where students escape the classroom and go out into the world. Students can visit different artists and go on distillery tours, so they actually get to practise their English in real situations. As an artist myself, I find that very inspiring. Crieff is a beautiful town and there are plenty of forest walks to explore with the other students.
