Scott has provided me with invaluable guidance regarding my farmhouse from 1885, located in northern Denmark. The house is built on a foundation of fieldstones, sitting on a layer of sand. After the renovation began, I encountered several issues with moisture on the exterior walls, which led to mold.

Through detailed descriptions, drawings, photos, and videos, Scott has been able to both identify the problems in my building and guide me on how to resolve them.

I've been very pleased with Heritage. I've had two surveys completed by Scott Enders, one a few years back and one just this past month, and both were thorough and detailed while also being easy to read and understand. On both occasions Scott took excellent roof level photos, also going into the interior of the loft with the same level of detail. Scott also offered his time to answer all of my follow up questions over the phone. I feel very confident with the expertise offered by Heritage, and when considering other surveys I've seen (which by contrast can generally seem like a copy and paste exercise), Heritage surveys absolutely worth the money.

Sarah Stapley was an excellent point of contact and shared a sample report to set expectations on what the damp survey report would contain.

Scott Enders performed the damp survey, and made excellent observations on remediation items that had not been picked up previously. I found Scott to be friendly, sympathetic and easy to get with. He has excellent knowledge and was happy for me to ask lots of questions during the survey, and I took my own notes along the way. His testing and report was very thorough and formed the basis of the scope of the work to be undertaken to permanently remediate damp issues. We had a post report catch up too and this was appreciated.

If you have damp issues, and need to have work done I would highly recommend a damp survey by a competent qualified surveyor - to avoid failed remediation work by builders. It will give you peace of mind.

Super people to work with. I was under pressure to exchange on my sale and asked Richard if they could bring forward the survey on my purchase if they had any earlier cancellations - which he duly managed to do. The survey of the early 18th century house, carried out by Scott, was appropriately described as as "forensic" by the seller. I was able to get the highlights of the report by telephone in time to prevent my chain from falling apart and the report promptly thereafter. The report is detailed, beautifully written, clear, backed with helpful photographs. The follow up was great. I have since asked Scott back to do carbide testing of the walls on the ground floor (too intrusive pre-purchase) and now have a clear idea of what needs to be done, with what materials, by which trades and in what order. He and the team were generous in sharing contacts. I recommend them wholeheartedly - don't hesitate to contact them if you are contemplating buying an older house.

During the process of buying a Victorian flat with a basement in London, we noticed a fair amount of damp which was a worry to us. I was researching on the internet for surveyors who specialize in old buildings. I came across Heritage Consulting. Based on their knowledge of old houses and their damp problems, I asked them to do a building survey and a damp survey. From start to finish, their services were impeccable! Scott did both surveys and furnished us with two extensive reports and made recommendations for works that we should consider. Although the surveys were not cheap, we feel that the money was well spent, considering the large investment we make into the property. We highly recommend this company and their services.

I can't recommend highly enough the services provided by heratige consulting.
Prior to the purchase of a grade 1 listed building in the east of Essex. I wanted to completely understand the fabric of the building. And of course any issues that may arise. The property is extremely old, and dates back to the 13th century, it required specialist knowledge.
My survey was carried out, I received the fullest most in depth report. With photos, diagrams, heat spectrum analysis. In my case, 72 pages. All in less than a week.
I would have no hesitation in using the service of heratige consulting in the future.
