I had a letter off OPOS out of the blue.
Never heard of them, never had any contact before. The letter stated that I owed £1500 to a bank I've never banked with !!!. After waiting 20mins to actually talk to someone who sounded like they were reading from a textbook, and was really fed up with life it was stated that it was a debt from 25 years ago !!!!!.
Not only have I never had a Bank account with the bank on the letter, they were trying there luck with a 25 year old debt, knowing full well they can't do anything legally after 6 years of the debt !!!.
This company tries its luck without any legality. Be careful dealing with OPOS.

I believe they are a scam company and I will be taking it further.
I received emails and letters about a debt for an overdraft on a bank account I've never had. They were requesting settlement payment. I eventually emailed them and requested more information on said account, account number, statement and explained I had never held this account or receive any prior correspondence.
I received an email from them a few days later:
Thank you for your email.
I can confirm that due to the age of the account, we are unable to obtain the details you wish for. We now consider this account to be closed and you should not receive any further correspondence in regards to this.
If you require anything further, please let me know.

I don't know about anyone else but my experience is that genuine debt recovery agencies do not operate in this way!!!

Company that continuously harasses even though you tell them you aren’t due anything. I’m away to have a baby and they won’t leave me alone. Reported and complaints raised. Further action is being taken. Keep contacting me from a fake email address from someone called Alison Walker. Doesn’t deal with complaints. You just have to laugh really.

‼️my initial review starts at the end here and scroll up for all updates. If they contact you ask a) proof of account b) your signature to prove account was opened c) date of account d) debtor. Wait... then they tell you account closed because haven't that information...no shock. So, again, don't be scared by these vultures‼️
‼️SO TODAY RECEIVED ABOUT 10 MORE EMAILS STATING THEY HAVE TO REPLY TO EVERY EMAIL SO I PLAYED THEM AT OWN GAME TO WASTE THEIR TIME.....THEN THEY REPLIED SAYING THEY CAN'T REPLY IF I DON'T ASK FOR ANY INFORMATION......HOW BIZARRE!! THIS COMPANY MUST HAVE SO MUCH TIME TO SPARE CHASING DEBTS THAT DON'T EXIST....AGAIN, IGNORE THEM‼️ Further to below they're now stating I won't hear from them again, yet 4 more emails received advising of NOTHING about the debt I requested! They're not allowed by Law to contact more than twice a month. Desperate company trying to frighten people they owe money they don't!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T PAY THEM ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!! SCAMMERS!!!!!!
‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️Received email offering a half price settlement repayment for a debt I don't even have! They emailed my email address only recently set up, so where did they get it from? Never had any previous letters or alike until yesterday and was alarmed by this, so investigated! They haven't even my correct address and state it's a Shop Direct debt...don't have one! In fact, I'm fortunate not to owe anyone anything! Then today, SUNDAY, received a rather demanding email saying "you logged on the portal so pay the debt"...I logged on yesterday on receipt of suspicious email to see what it was all about. HOW DARE THEY COMMUNICATE ON A SUNDAY WHEN THEIR WEBSITE OPENING HOURS STATES "CLOSED"! Can see others been scammed by this, so don't engage on phone with then. I've requested via email the original Agreement, Signature of same, Transactions I'm meant to have made, etc. Today's email the debt had doubled Suspicious. More vulnerable will fall for this. ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

Absolute pleasure considering the circumstances of the call I felt at ease and came away feeling relieved and positive xx

I received a letter today stating I owed a debt for £1371.21 for an orange mobile which I have never had,the letter said if I paid today it would reduce to £274.24 🤔. When I called them they wanted personal details like my DOB ,when I refused to give it them they said they could not talk about the account but they would take a payment🤣,absolute scammers,they didn't even have my correct surname which I changed over 8 years ago. Do not trust this company, they are a complete scam. SCAM!!!!SCAM!!!!SCAM!!!!
