Paula Davies supported my brother and I with the sale of our late mother’s house. The situation for us was very difficult and personal, however Paula helped by having thing’s run as smoothly as possible. Paula was prompt with returning emails and phone calls and she was excellent with how she explained the process. Paula was very friendly, professional and efficient. I would definitely recommend Carey Hughes when buying or selling a property. A massive 5⭐️ from us, especially for Paula.

Handled both our sale and purchase... AVOID.

Really slow... very poor communication and made mistakes throughout the process. i.e. other people's addresses where they've clearly copied and pasted from other sales/purchases...

We just wanted to stay informed but they did not do this for us. It was very hard to get through to speak to our solicitor when we tried to get clarity.

To top it off, they have kept my residual funds for much longer than they said they would. I still don't have my money and I'm currently chasing for it.

So yes, if you enjoy stress, mistakes and just general uncertainty. They're the team to deliver.

I would avoid at all costs and would put 0 stars if I could. I dealt with Martin Carey and Lynn. Got zero help or explanations. Found them extremely rude and patronising. Had to get my mortgage advisor to do part of their job as they consistently told me there’s nothing I could do. They made buying a house the most stressful experience ever. When you try email or phone you are hit with out of office. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Sally and the team at Carey Hughes did a brilliant job for us. They were suggested for us a conflict solicitors, when we bought a property on the same books as our estate agent.
It was really refreshing to work with a solicitor, who kept us up to date and looked out for our interests even after the sale.
If we move again I will definitely use them again and if anyone needs a recommendation for a solicitor they will be first on the list.
