Five Stars for BrewDog – One of My Greatest Beer Inspirations!

I have been a passionate fan of BrewDog for many years.
When I first started to dive deeper into the world of beer, I – like many in Germany – believed that only German brewers crafted the best beers.

However, during the development of a historic beer for the 1000th anniversary of our village, I first truly encountered the vast and fascinating international beer scene — and that’s when BrewDog came into my life.
My first consciously enjoyed international beer was Punk IPA — and it absolutely blew me away.

I was thrilled by the explosion of flavors, the creativity, and the boldness BrewDog brought to the glass. From that moment on, I was hooked — the diversity of beer styles, the endless possibilities of aromas, and the stories around beer became a deep passion of mine.

BrewDog became one of my greatest inspirations and a key motivation for me to explore this world even further.
Today, as a certified Diplom-Biersommelier, I look back with immense gratitude.

At MERWERT GmbH, we still proudly serve BrewDog beers at many of our customer events — and they continue to impress and excite our guests every single time.

Thank you, BrewDog team, for your incredible passion, pioneering spirit, and courage to rethink and redefine what beer can be.
You’ve opened my eyes (and my palate) to the amazing world of craft beer. I’ll always raise a glass to you!

Had lunch today. Stopped on my way to Aberdeen. Ordered tea, some water and Diet Coke. Not a lot of guests inside. Pleasant atmosphere, music was playing. Staff were friendly. Tea and water came pretty quickly. Ordered spicy smashed cucumbers as a side, which were not smashed, but cut in strips. I was expecting a bit something else.Medium spice level. For main I took protein power salad. That is weirdest concoction which I have ever tried. Cauliflower rice, tiny avocado halves, thin, grilled chicken breast, roasted almonds, chickpeas in harissa powder and half of whole tomato quartered. Rice didn’t had any flavour, but if you mix everything together and add spicy cucumber, it is ok. It was my first time at Dogtap, I would recommend to choose different dish, next time I will, if I’ll be going to Brewdog. Maybe kitchen staff were just tired or my expectations too high for food, you choose. Paid £25 for all.

An interesting night out. As a treat for my birthday 3 off is arrived not knowing fully the format for the evening. It turned out to be a small 12 person dining experience with matching cocktails. A Brewdog interpretation of fine dining. Personally the food was good and cocktails ‘interesting’ with a tweak on the usual themes for gin, rums and whisky’s. The drinks and food were commendably introduced by Ewan and the chef (apologies couldn’t remember name). Made it personal to the area and supported by Brewdog distilling. The whole evening was supported by the excellent voice of Sola (Weddings and Events Singer, @solaweddingsinger) who did a great job focussing on the event with us chirping away and attempting to out-sing her. Overall a great evening made possible by the eclectic mix of guests at the table and the overall ambience. Great first attempt Brewdog but needs a little refinement and could be an winner?

We attended the beer school. The staff were lovely - Ewan really knew his stuff and was an amazing guide who presented a really informative session. The staff were very accommodating - we had our elderly dog with us and they allowed him to use the lift, brought him water etc. Very dog friendly and there are lots of accessible options.

Been wanting to visit here for years and finally took a few hours drive to visit. Very disappointed. I visited the Berlin brewery a couple of years ago and loved it and expected HQ to be even better. Nothing really here. Just a bar and tables with a little seating area as you walk in. Went in the museum bit but nothing in it apart from few pictures on wall. Berlin had shuffleboard and other things. Nothing like that here. Service was poor. Had to wait for table as you go in but no one on desk so stood there for nearly 10 mins. Lots of tables with dirty plates just sitting there. Very slow service getting food etc. Food was nice as was the beer but the service let it down. I asked a member of staff who served me if I had missed something as I thought be more to see here but she said no just the museum but she said she doesn't normally work there so didn't know the place, would think being HQ the staff would be passionate about the brand. Place is OK if your local but don't bother making a long journey to visit as you will be disappointed. Won't return and really put me off the brand I've loved for so long.

Nice experience overall! The atmosphere is really nice- Well laid out and spacious, tons of options for seating and seems very accessible.

We met friends there mid-day on a weekday, so it wasn't super busy, but lots of people stopping in with their pups and to stock up.

We each had a meal and a drink. Lots of options for our friends with different dietary restrictions.

The only issue we had was super slow service. I went to ask if our food order could be taken after 30 minutes of drinks dropped. That, and some meals being mixed up but we sorted it ourselves.

Overall a really nice spot!

I had a Hazy Jane and the Spicy Meaty pizza. The staff accommodated food intolerance by switching to vegan cheese.

I attended on crutches and found that the restaurant was very accessible, featuring a lift to the 1st floor.

This is a dog-friendly establishment, with dogs allowed inside.

The home of Brewdog, stayed in a hotel about 2 miles away. Beer was ok, unfortunately they hadn’t updated Untapped for a couple of days so some the beers I was expecting were not on.
But the service was excellent, beers weee good, I have the cauliflower buffalo wings and they were really moorish.
