Just completed the two day course facilitated by Rachel. Rachel has a very relaxed delivery style which allows you to feel at complete ease throughout. It is abundantly clear the experience Rachel brings to the training, more so her willingness to part with this knowledge whilst allowing you the opportunity to explore your thinking challenging in a proactive and non detrimental fashion. I thoroughly enjoyed the two days and could have happily spent much longer gleaning as much information from Rachel as possible. I would highly recommend anyone who is thinking about Mediation training to engage with Rowan and book.

I recently completed the certificate in counselling skills at Rowan. It was something I had been wanting to do for a few years and I am so glad I chose to do it with Rowan Consultancy. I was initially a little dubious about it being online but it has been one of the best learning experiences I have ever signed up for. I learned so much about counselling skills but I also learnt ever so much about myself. I realised listening is not quite as easy and as straightforward as I though! I have started using the skills I learnt in my daily life, both at work and with family/friends. Susan and Rachel created a safe, nurturing, formative and stimulating space where I was able to practice my newly acquired skills. Thanks to Susan, Rachel and my wonderful group of fellow students, I decided to take these studies further and will be starting a course in Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice in September. I also made some strong connections with fellow students and we should be meeting up soon! What really made a difference to me was that our trainers cared about us as people, not just as students paying their course. I think everyone should do this course, it's certainly helped me understand a lot about others and also about myself and it's definitely helped me to listen better.

I've been seeing Julia, one of Rowan's counsellors, for around 3 years now and have found her support and gentle questions an incredible source of strength during what has undoubtedly been the most emotionally difficult period of my life.

My fortnightly sessions keep me mentally strong, allow me space to say and think things that I'd never otherwise consider, and let me focus on how I can keep myself well. If you are wondering whether counselling is for you, I'd say 'try it and find out.'

I've also used Rowan professionally, attending courses in listening and management. Both were excellent, and gave me skills that I've used both in and beyond the workplace.

Everyone I've dealt with at Rowan, both personally and professionally, has been warm, welcoming and expertly trained in what they do. There is an innate atmosphere of trust, something I find reassuring on many levels.

I recently attended a Mediation for HR training course and was very please with the training provided and the skills I learnt. The teacher was very knowledgable and the lessons were engaging and informative.

At the end of the training I came away confident in my ability but knowledgable about my level of expereince. The teaching envirnoment was well sutied to the course and the course was definitely value for money.

I would not hesitate to recommend Rowan for training and consultancy services. This is the second course (Coaching for Managers) I have attended there and I would definitely be going back for more

I was sent here for mediation with a colleague. The mediator would not allow me to finish anything I needed to raise. Her constant interruptions were extremely frustrating. She insisted that I was being aggressive when I was simply exasperated. I was banished to another tiny room for what she called Time Out. She stayed with my colleague to chat while I was left to cry with no one checking I was OK. She displayed obvious bias; I was treated as if I were the villain and my colleague a saint completely unaccountable for her actions and their effect on my health. I was spoken to like a child who had been naughty and asked to 'listen to myself' and to 'stop and think how I would feel if I was spoken to like this'. My exasperation was clear but aimed at the counsellor. My colleague was allowed to launch a character assassination during which she named numerous individuals who had approached her to offer sympathy and concern when they should have known nothing of the situation causing us problems. I was again interrupted when I voiced my concern at promised confidentiality being broken re the situation we found ourselves in. My colleague was then allowed to talk about a situation not related to work. I was not allowed to finish anything I wanted to address although each of my issues was work related and took care not to identify any other individuals by name. I am disgusted with my treatment and despite emailing to complain, have received no reply or acknowledgment. I await your reply ASAP. The one star rating was given for the friendly receptionist who let me in and made me feel comfortable. All downhill from then on.

I just completed the Coaching skills for counsellors course.
It was a very informative and helpful course. It clarified the difference between coaching and counselling and showed how coaching can enrich counselling work. The trainer was excellent. Loved it.
