We just spent our week in Cornwall, we had an amazing time! The best part chosen by all was the surfing lessons by stoked. I’m so glad our mums(Siobhan and Sarah) signed us up this year.
Will and Roo taught our lessons giving us the most stoked surfing experience We have ever had. 🤙🤙

My 8-year-old daughter had an absolutely fantastic time with Stoked Surf School — her first ever surf lesson, and she’s already asking to go back! She was the youngest in the group, but Ru and Will, the instructors, were incredible. They were patient, kind, and really attentive, making sure she felt safe, confident, and included every step of the way.

As a parent, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I felt completely at ease leaving her in their care and watching from the sand. Everything was provided on the day — wetsuit, board, the lot — and the session was really well organised. The training was clear and easy to follow, and despite the group having a mix of adults and children with different levels of ability, everyone was catered for brilliantly.

It was such a positive, welcoming atmosphere, and the focus on safety and enjoyment was obvious. Massive thanks to Ru, Will, and the whole Stoked team. We’ll definitely be back and can’t recommend them highly enough!

We had a beginner's lesson at Stoked - it was the first time we had ever surfed and we are already planning to visit again!

Julian's communication was great throughout the whole process.

The changing facilities are bright, clean and airy and right next to the beach and car park.

Our instructor was Will who is amazing. We were total beginners so really appreciated his help from everything to picking wetsuits through to safety. He talked us through all the things that would have felt intimidating enough to put us off trying to do this solo - from how to carry the boards and get out to the waves. Will was endlessly patient and supportive, taking us through the procedure of how to get on the board and where to balance. We felt safe, supported and encouraged at all times.

I was over the moon that I managed to stand up on the board a couple of times, which I never thought I'd manage first time! The session exceeded our expectations and we would definitely go back for a repeat.

This is a brilliant way to spend a few hours of your day and we couldn't recommend Stoked more. They're diligent and professional and while obviously expert, have just as much enthusiasm for beginners.

We also enjoyed meeting Betty the dog who is a key member of staff and who was on hand to supervise the check in process.

My sons and I had an incredible morning with Stoked Surf School! The instructors were amazing, so friendly, supportive, and truly dedicated to making sure we had the best experience possible. The lesson was fantastic value and packed with fun!

We had an absolute blast learning how to catch waves and giving it our best shot at standing up. Sharing this experience with my kids was so special as well, memories we’ll cherish forever.

We’ll definitely be booking another lesson the next time we’re in Cornwall!

Julian was really friendly and welcoming. When we were chatting before the lesson he was genuinely interested in me and what I had to say. Matt the instructor I had on the day, again was very friendly. He gave clear easy to follow technique instructions on how to get the basics right and once I progressed was then able to correct my mistakes and make it a really enjoyable lesson, catching and riding on lots of waves. I would highly recommend Stoked to anyone looking to learn or improve at surfing.

Great coaches, great equipment and great location for the surf school.
Just had a lesson at Stoked surf school and despite it being really cold outside, the wetsuits they provided worked really well well so I wasn’t cold at all. The instructor was very safety conscious, very helpful and really enthusiastic. Plus the location of the school was very convenient being right next to the beach car park so not too far to walk in the surfing gear. I’ll definitely be back!

What a lovely place for a beginner to start getting into surfing! Although, to many people this will be an extremely hard and dangerous sport to engage, nevertheless, the staff, specifically the owner Julian, made it look so easy by professionally explaining what to expect and take all safety measures so serious which created an enchanting experience for everyone who participated in the group learning session. I'd definitely be coming back next year at the peak of summer ☀️ so you won't need to use a wet suit 😜 😉

Stoked really topped off our amazing week in Perranporth, Cornwall. We can’t wait to get back next year for a lesson & hire throughout the week.

Me & my son (7) had a private session, £120 for 2 hours coaching / a board each & wetsuits is an absolute steal if you ask me!

The lesson consisted of a bit of safety overview, some beach practical (first 10 minutes) then the rest of the lesson in the water.

Our coach was absolutely brilliant with my son who thoroughly enjoyed the session (he didn’t last the two hours because he got too cold but was delighted with what he achieved.) I’ve never surfed before & managed to stand by the end of the 2 hours, only for a couple of seconds but it felt great!

Thank you so much to our coach & Julian at Stoked - 5 star service from start to finish and can’t wait to get back in the water with stoked next year on our Cornwall holiday.
