My accountant was taken ill and I looked for a local accountant Maxwell’s, after having verbally agreed with Gavin 250 + VAT (which is what any accountant charges for an employee’s tax return) as I was not happy with the result of Maxwell’s tax return, I went back to my old accountant when he was recovered, Gavin sent me an invoice for £624 as can see in the picture . The trick they use is when I’ve paid the agreed amount and not the invoice (theft) is to report me to the government, a mediator contacts me and in the end they convince me to pay 80% of the total invoice they sent me so £524 plus £250 to my old accountant for doing exactly the same work. So £774 in total

I have been with Maxwells since about 2009, haven had my own business, which I sold, Maxwells worked with me on monthly and yearly accounts, the sale of my company and now on my self assessment / tax returns . I have to say Gavin, is one of the funniest accountants I have met, I don't think I know another accountant that makes P/L and budgets so much fun!
