I recommend Thea as a coach because she combines so many areas that are not always found in one coach in my experience: mindset, life coaching, business strategy and marketing strategy, but also the nitty gritty of complex financials and metrics. I haven't found that together before in one coach.
In working with Thea, she's helped me to get out of overwhelm and create a clear plan of what to focus on next in my business to really move the business forward and hit my goals. In particular, she's helped me understand my business finances better, which I had gotten to a certain point with, but then was really stuck. Her financial background has been so valuable, helping me understand better ways of tracking and forecasting, which has really strengthened my business finances. She's helped me to feel less alone and more supported, which is so important, I think, especially as a woman solo entrepreneur. She helped me identify and overcome some limiting beliefs about myself that had held me back in my business goals and really enabled me to up-level. What I love about working with Thea is she has the ability to quickly pick up on what the problem is and where I should focus to solve it. I can tell she really cares about both me and my business. And she's very direct and also very hands-on. She always goes the extra mile to make sure we solve the challenge together. I really feel like whatever I bring to our coaching sessions that day, she can understand those issues and really advise me on. She keeps track of the overall plan, which really helps me to keep me on track and make sure we continue to work the steps of that plan. I can tend to get distracted by other areas of my business, so this is very important to me. In the time I've been working with Thea, I went from feeling very overwhelmed and stuck to feeling motivated and hopeful, making progress with a clear plan of next steps.

I first contacted Thea about working with her on our financials, simply because it's an area that, whilst I understand it, it's not an area that I particularly enjoy.

We began working on financials, setting forecasts, looking at costs of marketing etc and we had a little bit of a hiccup with the supply chain issue which necessitated a bit of a pause in our trading.
During this time, Thea set about looking at all the other areas of our business with me. Our messaging, our cost of acquisitions, our email marketing flows and much more.
In the five months that we had the supply chain issues, Thea has gone above and beyond what I expected when we first commenced our relationship. Not only is she very conversant with financials, she has an exceptionally adept eye in terms of marketing.

She's also introduced our business to a number of people who've been able to help in different areas from website design and conversion rate optimisation and most recently a very highly pedigreed paid search expert.
In a nutshell, I would say what I most value about working with Thea is her bubbly brightness and her vast broad understanding of business. She acts as a fantastic sounding board for me across our business and that's saying something for somebody who's been in business for the past 30 years.

I’m an experienced entrepreneur, so I know what ‘great’ looks like on marketing, positioning, messaging. However, I needed help with doing it for myself. I can’t hire someone to ‘be me’ on LinkedIn. I realised I was simply inexperienced at this stuff - in terms of the actual mechanics of how to decide on an ICP, choose my positioning, create my personal brand rules, decide on my content pillars, and figure out how to actually sustainably produce content so I’m consistently posting without it derailing my actual work day… I needed help with all of that from an expert.

Before working with Thea I really felt like I was at sea figuring out LinkedIn on my own. It was demotivating not to be sure I was ‘doing it right’. I needed a guide and found an amazing one.

Now I feel like I know what to do, it’s just up to me to execute it. I feel in control again. Funnily enough it has made me more relaxed about LinkedIn - I know it will work, I just have to make sure I have done the foundational work and set myself up to post and participate consistently.

I’m back to feeling like my story, expertise and experience is worth writing about, people will want to read it, but it doesn’t have to be a herculean and thankless effort with no clear goals.

Thea’s Masterclass gave me the framework to set my goals, focus my time, me intentional about choosing my ideal audience - future potential clients for my solo consulting business.

I was stuck down in the weeds. Thea got me thinking about what I do in terms of the emotion of what I help my clients with.

This has helped me so much with what to write about, how to present myself on LinkedIn. I have so many more great ideas thanks to Thea‘s guidance and process.

I’ve been working with Thea since March 2024 and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. It has really helped push my business forward.

When I first started working with Thea my head was very fuzzy. The business was two years old, we'd gone through a big scale of growth and I was no longer sure what the direction should be for Heylo.

As an entrepreneur I have a million ideas an hour, I'm a magpie, I like to look at lots of different things and after my very first session with Thea she helped me realise I needed to balance my team out with doers - I am a driver, I drive the business forward but I need to build a team of doers that can help me. implement my ideas. So that was one of the first things that we worked on together.

The second thing that's been monumental in changing the direction of the business is that we really dug into my customer data. She helped me create some fantastic customer research so that I could really pull out what the unique magic is of Heylo and also how I can use that to push the business forward and it's helped me strategize where I want the business to be.

Also, she's just great all round when you have any problems. When I'm not quite sure how to handle something, it's fantastic to have a coach that's been there, that's done that, that can, help you really flesh out what your problem is, the different ways that you could potentially tackle it and what the outcomes could be.

I'm really enjoying working with Thea. I kind of see her as a co-founder - she gets really involved in the business and she's really helped me push Heylo forward. And as a solo founder, it's just fantastic to have that extra pair of experienced eyes and ears to help me.
