Extremely happy with Ross and his team. We had Ross insulate our Victorian property this summer (2023) which wasn’t straightforward as it’s a large property with a number of separate spaces at roof level. He specs the work very carefully and conscientiously and his workmanship is very thorough. His communication throughout was excellent. We are really pleased. He also did some repairs and maintenance in the property and again very happy with the workmanship.

He fitted a new wooden floor, wooden doors and a wooden bench and shelves, as well as some outdoor steps in a skilful and creative way. Ross is all around brilliant - a very safe pair of hands and very knowledgeable about all the different options. All work completed to a very high spec, including a new roof and additions for a garden shed, as well as internal plumbing work.

Ross is an excellent creator and fixer of all things house. He made extensive repairs to our damp, Georgian, interior brick walls, an ageing bay window exterior, plus traditional lime plastering. All work holding up perfectly 18 months later.

Ross at Human Habitat has proved to be a very versatile, talented worker. My family and I moved to Canterbury from London during the height of the pandemic so it was a huge boost to be able to rely on Ross to undertake a range of tasks from day 1. Installing effective insulation is one of Ross' specialisms and it was great to tap into his expertise on this at any early stage. Another impressive project was making/ installing shelving that had once been scaffolding board. A third project involved designing and building an admired brick/ timber front porch with reclaimed flooring and shelving sourced by Ross. (This took somewhat longer than anticipated, partly due to problems in sourcing materials - outside Ross' control - and partly, I suspect, due to the pleasing high standards he's set himself.) When attention turned to the garden, Ross planted several saplings and drew on his extensive knowledge of plants to design a space that can provide fruit & veg from the raised beds he made from railway sleepers, as well as my favoured fuschia etc. Ross made space for relaxation too, complete with hammocks.
As all this illustrates, Ross has an impressive array of talents that he puts to great use. He is completely trustworthy. His knowledge of environmental issues is a significant asset. I'm very happy to provide this recommendation.
