Update April 2025: Sometimes cases run for a long time due issues beyond your lawyer's control (such as the other party) and there is nothing you can do but persevere. Our case has been one of those. So in addition to my original positive review of the FLC, I'd like to add this, after years of support from FLC:

We were listened to, communicated with, reassured, and fought for...for 5 years! Jane and her team would not, and did not, give up despite many roadblocks. At all times, everyone at FLC were polite, calm...and kind. You would not believe how much being kind to us helped. I have recommended FLC and Jane Chanot, in particular, to many people...and I will continue to do so...

Original review: Experienced, expert, and thoughtful. Excellent at their jobs...from the office staff to the lawyers. At a difficult time, they have been incredibly sensitive and yet still 'on it'. I highly recommend this firm to anyone (Mums or Dads) needing help to put their children's needs first. No one wants to be in a position to need this kind of help, but if you do, you want the best... The Family Law Company ARE the best.

My girlfriend needed help with legal aid and this firm was absolutely useless. They stalled at every corner, failed to update when they said they would and asked for my personal information (even though we’ve only been together for a few month and don’t live together nor share finances). The reason I think it’s important to share this review is that she has now gone on to use another law firm and her experience with them has been exceptional. And none of my personal information was asked for.

So, for anyone thinking of using this firm, especially under difficult circumstances, be aware that this firm will only add to your stress.

What i witnessed her go through with this first was nothing short of horrific.

Rachel Buckley has recently been incredibly helpful with an issue that needed particular diligence. Her level of work under pressure was as impeccable as all the work done for me at Family Law Company.
