What a delight to stay at this hotel on the outskirts of Coleford. The room was well equipped with all amenities, clean and well prepared for guests with coffee and tea on tap. We stayed for four nights experiencing a selection of great food, drinks and entertainment. My only gripe, and I will not change my star rating, parking was a problem as the hotel was a golfing club and there were many golfers to take up the spaces. The pro shop was adequate and the links of a good standard. Overall you will be pleased with your visit.

This is a little gem, probably my new favourite place. The food was delicious and so well presented. The room was clean and had a wonderful view. Staff members were all so helpful and friendly, whilst caring out their work. Definitely going back. 5 🌟

Fantastic value for money, absolutely faultless!!! Nice rooms, good food in the restaurant and the staff were very friendly throughout our stay. The golf course was busy but not too slow and was in a very good condition. I’d recommend the hotel, food and golf deal.

First off , it's easy to find via satnav and there is ample parking to be found even on the busiest of days. Staff at the club shop and hotel are pleasant and friendly and deliver a great service (this includes bar staff and service staff). The golf course itself is a very good test with some tricky greens that demand your attention on the putts. There are a couple of holes with blind tee shots so remember golf etiquette and ring the bell when clear.
The rooms in the hotel - mine was a single occupancy and I had a room which was adequate for my stay. Comfortable bed , warm room with a decent bathroom (be wary of the shower though as when you put it on it's quite powerful and can spray all over the bathroom ! ). The only issue I found was the noise of adjoining rooms when they used the water at night and those who are ignorant to the fact that some people are trying to sleep at 1/2/3 am while they shout at each other in the corridor. Apart from that - all good.
The food for the evening meal was good as was the selection for the cooked breakfast the following morning. The bar was reasonably priced I thought and as the final round of the masters was on telly - there was a good crowd of patrons and ample staff on duty.
For what I paid for 2 rounds of golf - evening meal - bed and breakfast , I think it's great value and a decent venue for any society.

I was bemoaning the other day the lack of affordable accommodation on my LEJOG route - lo and behold, I chance across this establishment.

What a great place. Lovely staff and members. Fantastic meal at the club with some great beers on tap.

Special mention of the superstar Maxine at front of house. Thank you so much for looking after a very tired, wet and dirty cyclist - it was so very much appreciated.

Great place to stay that is better than the price might suggest. Good size rooms that were clean (and just been redecorated) and well appointed. Bathroom (bath with shower over) was also very clean. Really comfortable and pleasant. Excellent gym (£5 extra per day). Restaurant and bar in golf club next door. Comfortable and with sky sport.

Very nice room with everything you would need. Excellent breakfast. We ate twice in the hotel bar, good menu and well cooked meals at a reasonable price.
Golf course was well presented for the time of year with 2 holes closed, but we dolled up on 2 other holes to play 18. All in all an absolute bargain
