Forced to shut to convert crest account into nominee account because they increased cost, and not get emails or letters from companies of shares I hold.

Meaning I miss notifications of corporate events, meaning I lost money on my investment because it's too late to take action.

Yes I should track but when you hold a diverse portfolio of at least 20 companies it's hard to track.

Terrible service. Simply terrible. Months and months of chasing by both myself and my wife to transfer ISAs and SIPPs....to them! Brushed off repeatedly by uninterested customer service staff. In the end I had to call my previous provider to sort it out - for which Charles Stanley then claimed credit. The platform works ok but now has a glitch with a scroll bar overlaying the bottom buy/sell/invest monthly option for each portfolio holding, meaning transactions can't be actioned. Plus the platform charge has gone up to 0.35% making them uncompetitive with A.J. Bell. Go elsewhere I'm sad to say.

Excellent service. Transferred all my family accounts over to Charles Stanley Direct and the process was incredibly smooth with a knowledgeable Helpdesk in Edinburgh. I can access everything through the App 24/7 and the website is clear and concise.
