A little tired in places, what you would expect for the price- as very traditional, but not top end.

Some slight discrepancies between what we were told at booking & before/ on arrival:

-told no confetti (we used bubbles) but biodegradable is apparently ok.

-told power for a DJ outside was ok, but then the week before , he needed his own generator (so unfortunately most of the guests missed the disco as it had to be inside in the ceilidh room).

-The big stress was being told the dining room accommodated 40 guests (we had 33 acceptances). There were only 27 chairs!
We did manage to seat everyone by bringing in some of our hired ones & bringing in another table- but no way it seats 40!

Overall a nice time & place, but I’d recommend Sarah (manager) looks at ramped access somewhere- as the stairs were a struggle for our disabled guests. 🙂

Stayed here for several days when my friend rented it out for the week. It’s definitely showing its age and could use some real love and attention but having said that, it’s quite a remarkable place and really captures the imagination of the Scotland of another time. We had a great time here wandering the grounds, dancing in the dance hall and sharing food and drink with friends. The chef we brought in for the weekend did an amazing job. Very special.

We come here every year in a large group and always have a fabulous time. Really comfortable and well maintained property, and well located too. Large dining table and plenty of common areas including full size pool table.

Stayed here for a week with 21 other people. House is very spacious. Of course it is an old house but the carpets are worn, it's very dusty and lots of things could be updated.

Great size and cosy feel. Definitely needs work and renovation in places. The ground are fabulous. All in all pretty good value for money but not the height of luxury.

Fantastic Arboretum.... well worth a visit...a bit uneven on the grass paths so care needed if mobility isn't great... would be even better big there were more seating areas.

Just back from a family gathering and have to say this old house was fantastic for us, lots of room, very comfortable and enough room for us all..... Would recommend if you want a good place to all be together, bring your own food or use the local caterer for special occasion along with caleidh band both excellent 😁
