I booked one of these properties because I had booked a different property when my husband went to visit family alone last year and he had such good things to say that we booked a different property this time for the family.
I would definitely stay here again. It was very clean and comfortable. It was very safe and conveniently located to everything in Southsea.

My partner, 14 month old daughter and I recently stayed with places to be (PTB) in November 2023 and had an awful experience, with no heating in the freezing 2 bed flat we booked resulting in room temps of 15.0 degrees and lowering when we left. We were moved to another flat sold to us as an 'upgrade' which was dangerous (furniture falling apart + chemicals and exposed wires in bedroom) and later described as 'in a state of disrepair' by the PTB manager. PTB should be digusted at renting a property that they cannot control the temperate during Winter, particularly to a family with very young children. In the end we decided to move to a lovely hotel in the area and continued our stay. If we remained at either of the PTB properties its likely we would have become ill or injured.

Edit: 1) a change of property was requested before offered. 2) we demanded a refund before it was offered. 3) we were in two properties in one day both with large issues, this is not the definition of an outlier.

We have just enjoyed a week at The Ferryman - spotlessly clean studio, equipped with everything we needed to prepare simple meals. Great wet room with good shower pressure & lots of hot water. It was a great venue to explore Portsmouth & Southsea, although parking is restricted we never had a problem finding a parking space and there were some great cafes & restaurants in the area. I'm already trying to find new dates for a few days away & have recommended it to family & friends. We visit Southsea on a regular basis and I'm looking forward to my next visit

Good location in a quiet area close to the seafront. A very pleasant apartment with nice furniture. The bed being nice and comfortable for a good nights sleep. Apartment is very very clean. Local parking not a problem. The host being attentive via SMS and email. Would definitely recommend.

Dan and the team manage our property and they do fine job. Having just had a short break in our own apartment it was lovely to see it well looked after. I can firmly recommend them.

A group of us stayed at the Ferryman for the weekend. It's perfectly located for exploring Southsea and Portsmouth. All the staff were extremely helpful and I would highly recommend this accommodation. There are some great restaurants and bars in the area as well if you're looking for good food and drinks.
