Claire Gill is amazing!! I have worked for Academics since 2021 and I have had regular work. When a school hasn't suited me, I have been made to feel at ease enough to be honest with Claire and she has never been judgemental, instead she has found me another school swiftly.

I am ongoing treatment for spinal trauma and early degeneration. Claire has been incredibly understanding and has worked around appointments and has not pushed me into work, but made sure my health is optimum and comes first. She has been attentive and works with integrity and ethics. Claire is empathic and professional, very rare in this day and age. An absolute blessing to work with. Academics and I are very lucky!

Academics are a very professional supply teaching agency. Sonia, the regional consultant for Worcester Primary Schools, is an extremely friendly, approachable, and efficient man manager.
Communication is good with the agency, and queries are responded to promptly.
Having now been employed with Academics for nearly a year, I have had ample opportunities to work in a range of Primary schools.
The main advantage of working for the agency, is the flexibility to work in accordance with personal commitments and lifestyle choices. The only negative element is the low agency pay rates, compared to teachers directly employed by schools.

Having worked for a few different supply agencies over the years, I really recommend Academics. They are very efficient and professional whilst also having a caring personal touch. Good relationships and really getting to know their teachers and schools is clearly important to them. They really listen to and understand what individual teachers are looking for from supply teaching, e.g long term, flexible/casual day to day or a combination. I have worked with Sonia for the last 2 years and I just cannot recommend her enough. She is always cheerful and friendly despite I’m sure being extremely busy, and clearly knows her schools inside out. You can feel less valued when you leave a permanent teaching post and begin supply, but this hasn’t been the case for me with Academics. Sonia makes me feel appreciated, trusted and like nothing is too much trouble. She consistently goes out of her way to find assignments that completely suit my preferences and skills, as if by magic. I’ve had the opportunity to gain as much work as I need and develop relationships with a range of schools where I love teaching.
