I really enjoyed the Academy of Cheese level 1 course which I undertook online. The curriculum was relevant and I learnt a lot. The tasting of 25 cheeses was a hard job but I managed it ?.
If you enjoy cheese I would definitely recommend this.

Excellent course for beginners into the world of cheese, and a perfect excuse to buy some fancy cheeses.
The only problem I had was getting hold of some of the more obscure cheeses required to finish the course.

Having taken Level One a couple of years ago, I was delighted to join the Level Two team in the fantastic venue of The Courtyard Dairy- cheese heaven. The tutors are enthusiastic and knowledgeable which inspires the student. The course is challenging and makes you examine and think about cheese methodically, with a structured process. I have already been using my new knowledge confidently.

I took the online Level 1 certification and really enjoyed the course. I wanted to learn because I LOVE cheese and find it fascinating. I found the information very consumable and presented in a way that I could retain. I had an initial issue with my password (my fault in the end) and the customer service was very fast and pleasant addressing the issue immediately. I would highly recommend the course to someone looking to increase their knowledge in cheese!

The course was easy to follow and very informative. I would recommend to anyone who is interested in cheese. I am a beginner maker and the course was a great base from which to progress. I intend to enrol on level 2 soon.

Alongside many of the incredible online tastings and workshops, I recently completed Level 2 in Northern Ireland with the knowledgeable and friendly Katy and Lee-Anna. The 2 day course in a culinary/agricultural school meant that we experienced hands on cheese training and benefited from the equipment and facilities. The teachers Katy and Lee-Anna planned lessons to cover the Level 2 content that were creative, fun, informative, and interesting. I was particularly impressed with the little 'extras' that were brought to the sessions to enhance the tasting of the cheese, to aide our learning, and make the content of the course more accessible. The tasting sheets and the booklet containing the cheese profiles are fully comprehensive, reader friendly, and useful for reference. I am always so impressed with the Academy of Cheese, everything is clearly communicated from the word go and I would recommend learning with the Academy to all! Thank you and I am sure I'll be back for Level 3/online tastings in the foreseeable.

I wanted to become more expert at cheese. I don't need a certificate, but I felt a certification program would force me to study well.

Happily, I found the Academy. It's lessons are great (especially the ones that involve eating cheese) and I do feel I know far more than I did a few weeks ago.
