We have been working with Andrew and his team at AE Fisheries since mid 2014 when we acquired and opened Upper Farm Fishery as a day ticket venue. We started off with a consultancy assessment and based on Andrews written report we began to implement a number of his recommendations (supplementary feeding, getting light onto and air into the water).

We are a small venue (1 acre), but by following Andrew's no nonsense and simple approach to fishery management, we have a thriving mixed coarse fishery. For the first 4 years, we engaged Andrew's services on an annual basis, we are now down to bi-annual, but each visit is invaluable and for the last few years we have been removing in excess of 400lbs of silvers to enable the lake to thrive by understanding and managing the biomass of the water. We always look forward to our visits and it still amazes me how many waters still bury their heads in the sand.

Thats the reality and it is rare indeed to find someone straight talking who knows all you need to know about operating a fishing lake and after many years in the business still be so passionate about the subject.
