Under two separate businesses we've used AM as our accountants, initially lured in for the appeal of a progressive accountant that's looking to help grow your business and all the rest - just what we wanted to hear as a fast paced start up.
Fast forward and we're initially left with an eye watering VAT bill with a day or 2's notice to sort out. Zero input as to how best use our money also. Renting vans on PCP instead of HP for one to lower our CT bill, but none of this divulged until laterally, at which point we already had 3 vans (one example). Conflicting answers depending on which accountant you speak to there also.

Our other business hit with a similar situation as above.

Great business on the face of it. In tight with Xero etc but dive in and have them on the books you'll get the bare minimum and be scrambling to rectify a financial situation(s) that could have been easily avoided or at least planned in advance.
