I was given Iain Balfours number by my Architect to provide structural and drainage drawings for a new build property.

After waiting over a month for Iain to conduct the initial site visit, we had to wait another 3 months (in which time myself and the architect had repeatedly tried to contact Iain via WhatsApp, email and phone for a progress update to which he ignored) before we received the required drawings.

After the drawings arrived it was clear they did not reflect what we discussed during the site visit and when we approached Iain with these legitimate queries he quickly pulled the drawings from the Building Warrant application, leaving us to start the process all over with another Engineer.

This man is beyond unprofessional and I would urge anyone considering using him to look elsewhere, you will save yourself a lot of time, money and energy.

POOR AND SLOW SERVICE!!!

I'm not a fan on leaving poor reviews but I felt I needed to so other customers don't have their time and effort waster as I did!

I emailed and telephoned this company for a simple quotation on a project that I was looking to carry out in a years time but no one replied back! I then followed up with numerous emails & telephone calls and I was promised each time someone would be in touch but I was still kept waiting.

TWO MONTHS LATER, I finally received a response to say the company is 'busy' and don't have 'the capacity to take on more work' despite the fact it was required in a years time.

I've used this company before similar work and in general they do not issue documents when they promise which affects planning permission timescales so I've decided going forward I'll look elsewhere as the service can't be as bad as I've experienced here!

First class service from the start to the finish of our project so much so we are currently working with Balfour Engineering again. Everybody is so helpful and all queries are dealt with efficiently and promptly. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone who asked.
