Hettie has taught my daughter for few months. She is very experienced and knowledgeable. She keeps her lesson effective, engaging and fun. Kaley is always looking forward for her lessons with Hettie and I can see a very big improvement with my daughter academically since she started her lessons with Hettie. And what I love most about Hettie is that she keeps me updated of how theyre classes went. I would highly recommend Hettie to anyone. Very experienced tutor ❤️.

In October of last year, we approached Hettie and gave her the unenviable task of helping to prepare our two children (then aged 8 and 10) for UK entrance exams in a very short 2.5-month timeframe. At this point our children had only ever been taught in Swiss in the local Swiss system; with a curriculum that was at least 2 years behind the UK system.

From the outset we felt confident that Hettie would do everything she could to help us, despite most children coming to Hettie for help at least a year in advance and with a UK-system brackground.

Hettie was always friendly, calm, relaxed, patient, punctual, professional, a great communicator both during lessons and in between lessons by email and incredibly flexible and receptive to the fact we were both full-time working parents. Hettie tutored remotely from the UK to our home in Switzerland with great ease and has brilliant systems in place to teach remotely. Above all our children loved her lessons and both respected her and responded brilliantly to her teaching techniques.

I am pleased to say both our children passed their entrance exams and started at their new school (their first choice) today. Once their exams were over in January, we continued with Hettie's tuition all the way through to the Summer holidays to help bridge their gap in knowledge.

We would not hesitate to work with Hettie again in the future if either of our children needed some extra help.

Hettie was without a shadow of a doubt instrumental in helping our children secure a place at their preferred school.

My daughter took online lessons from Hettie and she passed her exams with flying colours.
We found Hettie to be a very enthusiastic teacher with excellent teaching skills who immediately put our daughter at ease.
Our daughter really enjoyed her weekly lessons and always looked forward to the next session which didn't make studies seem like a chore. Hettie also addressed her doubts and provided strong motivation even when she struggled with certain topics.
I would suggest anyone looking for a teacher for 11+ to try Hettie once and they will not regret it.

My son (age 10) started sessions with Hettie to improve his confidence in his work and himself. He has now finished the weekly Skype lessons and has greatly increased confidence and, having passed the 11+, is looking forward to starting Year 7.

Hettie connected really well with my son, took the time to get to know him and would tailor activities to his interests. She was perceptive to his mood, balancing favourite topics with those that needed a bit more work.

He enjoyed the online sessions, looked forward to the challenges she set him and worked well to achieve them. She set clear expectations with homework and was thorough in going over areas or topics that required more work.

I cannot speak highly enough of Hettie. She is a very patient and caring tutor as well as being firm enough to keep my daughter focused. I was dubious about online/Skype tuition to begin with but have found it to be very easy and convenient and works very well. My daughter tells me that Hettie is "very encouraging and makes lesson fun when you don't think they're going to be".
After only working towards the 11+ for six months with Hettie my daughter was successful in gaining a place at the local grammar school. Very highly recommended.
