I attended the Hill & Moorland Leader Training this week with Oli & Alex and have nothing but good things to say about the whole process and company!
I was really nervous, and the snow we had was an interesting addition to the training, but I was immediately put at ease from the moment we started all the way through the 3 days! Night Navigation in the snow was an incredible opportunity!

Just wanted to commend the recent First Aid Course I attended run by Chris/Beyond the Edge. I really enjoyed the two days. The Course was very well structured and logical in its progressions; the kit we had to 'play with' was first class. There was plenty of practicals both indoor and outside giving the course all the realism possible without actually having to venture out on the hill! I particularly liked the real life examples Chris brought from his own personal experiences and those gained as part of The Edale Mountain Rescue Team. I would highly recommend this course for anyone wishing a First Aid Qualification relevant to the outdoors.

I had private instruction with Alex which was excellent. I was concerned about wet weather on first day but Alex took us to some excellent sheltered spots. The second day was also excellent climbing. Alex found climbs that were challenging for all 3 of us despite different levels of ability of everyone in the group.

Just back from a hill and moorland training course and I can't praise Chris and the team highly enough. Super professional and knowledgeable with bags of fun and good humour chucked in. I've come away having learnt loads of new stuff and I am mega enthused to put it all into practice, develop my skills and sign up for my assessment. Absolutely first class training provider. I took the lowland leader 2 day course and it was amazing. The course is indepth provides all the learning you need to confidently lead a group on lowland walks, deal with planning, prep and safety. The scenery of the peak district is amazing.
