Extremely motivational day attending the Social Media Monetisation event. It was a free event, to gain a taster of more advanced courses and support on offer by Big Business Events. Several useful frameworks were shared and successful examples of businesses using social media as a sales tool encouraging. I came away invigorated and with several ideas. The day has changed the way I approach social media as a marketing tactic. Thank you.

I attended the Lincoln session today luckily I'm local so wasn't a wasted journey.

I give a one star sadly the content wasn't right for me. It's mainly aimed at sole businesses, so when I went to leave early as the content wasn't suitable for my needs I overheard ross say I was 'scared' which was a bit rude and arrogant. Also surprising as he encouraged through the day to not care what people think! He made similar comments about others leaving early. Not a good look!

On the whole it was very pushy in terms of aggressive sales techniques so you buy there services which again as I work in a business rather than own one wasn't appropriate.

No pens pads given out, lunch only for VIP to try create a them and us, no tea or coffee which came across cheap but this was a free event in fairness.

On the whole it felt very style over substance. I came away with a couple of ideas but on the whole it was very stick hands in the air, told to make notes which was a bit patronizing I felt like I was back at school a bit if I'm honest and very guilty tripping in terms of how much money should you spend.

There is very little advice about social media and felt more like a life/business coach event.

Also the presentation has typos in it... That's if they gave you chance to read it which sometimes they didn't deliberately.

Even the sign in process was funny. No clear waiting areas or anything. They didn't seem to know what to do.

On the whole whilst I came away with a few ideas it's better suited to sole business people who don't mind getting pushed around and told what to do all day!

Also we were asked half way through to leave Google reviews... A little presumptuous.. but that fits in well with being told we're scared of we leave early. It may have guilt tripped a few into staying it didn't work for me.

May need to work on better pre event communication so people know what to expect as well.

Sorry for the negativity it just wasn't for me and being insulted on leaving left me feeling rather annoyed.
