Sadly, we were very disappointed with the service we received from Brimble Lea. A simple porch and shed planning application spiralled into thousands of pounds. They charge an extortionate amount for every single email they send which made us reluctant to ask any questions at all for fear of receiving a huge bill. We provided all the ideas/solutions. After all that our planning application was rejected. We then came back with a potential solution/adaptation that we would accept and were advised by Brimble Lea that there wasn’t a chance it would be accepted by the planning office. We went ahead anyway having resorted to contacting the planning office ourselves (which in itself was disappointing as we had instructed Brimble Lea in order to save us time and red tape) as we had lost faith in Brimble Lea’s expertise. Lo and behold our application was accepted based on our design. They then had the nerve to charge us for the correspondence about said design. Utter shambles. Would NOT recommend.

He is very knowledgable on planning policy and precedent, his communication skills are impressive, his counsel proved wise and reliable - and he's really down to earth and normal at the same time, very easy to get along with.
It's very true that having the 'right' team around you can make or break your experience.
PLEASE do not be put off by a vendetta 4 years ago that, owing to Google's approach, appears to drag down the rating of this hard-working, very well qualified and brilliant LOCAL firm. Very happy to answer direct messages for specific feedback.

Brimble Lea provide the best planning and architectural services in the area. I know that the recent negative reviews are a response to neighbouring tennants being prevented from trespassing over the firm's private car park. None of these reviewers have ever experienced Brimble Lea's client service. Disappointing.
