All very odd really. I met Nick several years ago, and although matters went no further at that stage I was suitably impressed. So when I decided I did want IFA advice a couple of years ago I came to see Nick.

All was fine - Nick advised me on a portfolio for our SIPPs and ISAs, and we followed his advice. A year or so later I attended for a portfolio review meeting, at the conclusion of which Nick said he'd follow-up with some suggested amendments to our portfolios.

And then..... well, a big fat zero really. No follow-up from Nick, no reply to my email about the lack of follow-up, no reply to my phone call etc. I have absolutely no idea why I've effectively been 'dropped' as a client. The only thing I can think of is it's the fact that my preferred way of dealing was paying a 'per hour' rate (£200ph) for Nick's advice, as opposed to paying a % of investment cost/value. In which case, surely the professional thing to do would have been to tell me that.

As I said, all very odd, especially as Nick is such a personable chap.
