I first used Buchanan &Burton in 2015 for the conveyancing on a Flat purchase. Over 9 years later I appointed them to handle the sale of said Flat. In between times they handled the purchase of our new Home guiding my wife through the legal steps necessary, and have advised on Wills and other matters..Special mention must be made of Sandra Burton and Amanda Cussick for their attention to detail and professionalism, the latter especially working tirelessly during the Storm on January 24th to achieve sale completion!

Please spend a bit more and use another lawyer if buying a house. We had to constantly chase things up via email and phone calls. Most of our calls and emails went unanswered so we had to constantly chase things up. In all honesty, I should have been paid for the amount of work I did to get the house sale sorted! If we hadn’t constantly chased the lawyers up we would still be waiting for them to sort the sale out. The after service is non-existent. When we highlighted issues we were dismissed so please think carefully before spending such a large amount of money on such a poor service.

Absolutely appalling service, admittedly we were late but phoned to make sure it was ok and got another time organised. Got treated like an animal having to sign papers on the floor and telling us constantly to hurry up and get out. Basically paid to be insulted and talked down to, so if you're into that kind of thing.

I called looking for help with my situation and received a callback from one of the Solicitors who sounded like they were just out of bed, grumpy and uninterested! When someone calls you for help and they have no idea where to begin or what to do please do not make comments like, "Well what do you want me to do about it"? or, "There is nothing I can do for you so call someone else".

Is there an issue with Solicitors that I am not aware of? It seems impossible to not only find help but even get a friendly response!
