Lovely job completed on our side and rear extension! The team really listened to our requests and worked hard to overcome any obstacles so that we got what we wanted! Great finish! The team also fitted out our kitchen, utility and cloakroom toilet all with a lovely finish and to our exact specifications. Great job guys!!

A massive recommendation of Candid Construction Scotland. We recently had a large Dormer extension which includes a stunning viewing window with a lovely space to relax and take in the scenery with also a generously sized bathroom. I couldn't be more impressed with the company and all its team. Barry and Thomas were thorough when
explaining each step of the process and kept to timescale. They were highly efficient and took attention to every detail to ensure our project ran smoothly with minimum disruption. This extension has made a huge difference to our property and transformed our upstairs.

Once agreed in principle, we were given a rough start date along with a promise to meet just before work began. Both Barry and Thomas were professional throughout this planning phase.

The structure itself went up in good time and any deadlines at this stage were met. The various workers on site were polite and diligent, they were especially understanding of our need for a cooker even though our kitchen was in the process of being dismantled in preparation for internal remodeling.

We're are delighted with the finished extension, it has been completed to a very good standard and we would happily recommend Candid to anyone who is looking to improve their home.

Well where do I start what an absolute shambles from start to finish with this company, we got a price and paid a deposit and they started not long after on the first day it was like they were clueless and at that point we should’ve told them to go,instead of focusing on one area getting done they decided to rip apart our upstairs for our loft conversion and also start our downstairs extension at the same time, the whole contents of our house were ruined this ranged from beds, mattresses, clothes , kids bedrooms, our bathroom (they decided to pour plaster down our bath) , we were also never kept upto date with progress as promised and all these extra charges kept appearing even though they had our drawings from before we even agreed a start date. We were also told multiple dates for completion and this changed every time leaving us then paying out more money to stay with a relative. They smashed all our kitchen floor tiles up and left it an absolute mess and all uneven but they weren’t caring because they weren’t fitting the floor( this was extra cost again) so just left it an absolute riot and it meant we were then out of pocket to have this screeded and fixed by someone else. I have multiple msgs to them with various issues I.e our decking was fitted a mess , no water going to shower room upstairs , cooker tripping every time it was turned on(they left this for weeks even though we have 3 kids) , no storage in loft as agreed in drawings, the council has failed our extension plus our loft conversion for them not carrying out work in the pictures. They had to come back and fix our decking and other things after they basically bribed us saying they wouldn’t fix anything or hand over our electrical paperwork for the house til we paid the outstanding balance due even though they didn’t take off any money for the work they didn’t even carry out, but made out like they did. They then had to come out again a year after the job was done to install fans in our kitchen as this was something it failed on again these were in our drawings from the beginning and was never done when they carried out the work. The electrical paperwork they bribes us with when handed over and submitted to council wasn’t even valid or have our names on it or anything the council then rejected this and I had to go back again and ask for months when this was being sorted again they had to send out another spark and have him do it and change my circuit board since it wasn’t fit for purpose to begin with. In my opinion I feel like they took on our job not because they were capable of doing the work but cause they saw ££ signs, I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt plenty of times I’ve messaged multiple times over something simple and still can’t send anyone to sort their mistakes, I’ve been nice enough not to do a review til now but I’ve had enough now as im now still left paying out money to correct their mistake after paying them a small fortune for the work they done. Avoid this company if you want to spend a fortune and be more out of pocket than what you intended to begin with. Also we were meant to get our garden done by them and they gave us a price quite clearly knowing there was another part of ground not even included which would have needed slabs etc, so again this would have been more money again, we ended up getting someone else to carry out the work in our garden and every time they came to the house they would make comments about it and be very unprofessional even though they’re own work leaves much to be desired.i read all their reviews before even getting my house done so not sure why they have glowing reviews when they made such a complete shambles of my house. Never once got an apology or nothing of them for anything, I’ve left a lot of things out of my review which were issues as the list goes on and on. Avoid at all costs

From our initial meeting firstly with Thomas and then Barry when the project was discussed, all the way through planning, demolition of the old conservatory, laying foundations and then building our extension and decking, I have been hugely impressed with the efficiency and attention to detail that has been evident throughout the entire process. All the workers on site throughout the works have been first class. Barry project managed the various stages keeping us informed all the way through, ending with a first class build carried out in a smooth and painless way free of any drama. I would thoroughly recommend Candid Construction.

We had Candid demolish an old conservatory and replace it with a brand new extension. Barry and Thomas were great from start to finish. Communication was great, with Barry providing updates and schedules of work on a daily basis.
Their team worked so hard to bring the project in on time for Christmas.
