Canham consulting Ltd was recommended to us when we needed some advice relating to some structural works. Shane O'Neill, structural engineer, attended our address to inspect the site and provided a detailed report. The report was professional and comprehensive and moreover, demonstrated that Shane had considerable knowledge in his field.
The fee charged was reasonable and we were happy with the service provided.

Canhams have gone from almost a family run likeable company to a cash making machine. Don’t want to give set prices would rather quote from a percentage of overall costs. So if your a larger build stay well away and get a quote from somewhere is happy to charge a rate rather than make as much as they possibly can.

Update on the below...eventually did get things organised, Canham reached out and we had a call and re-organised things. Whillst late in the day, I appreciated that. The work was finally carried out in good order and time and to the expected good standards.

Disappointing. Made contact in early January, did manage to get a response and agreed to send over designs which were confirmed received after a week in which I requested confirmation they had them. I have since heard nothing for a month even though I've chased two or three times, both direct with the individual I originally spoke with and again through the main company contact point in case said individual was unavailable. Nada.

Don't really have time to be chasing companies to offer them paid work. I'm pretty sure it should work the other way round.

I've been a BTL landlord for over 20yrs. In that time I've had the misfortune to have had two properties within my UK portfolio develop cracks and have movement issues. Without the assistance and professional knowledge of Canham Consulting I would have taken instruction from my brokers/Insurance company and used their team of engineers/trades. The results would have been completely different and I wouldn't have received excellent comms throughout the process and a high quality underpinned fix. I was encouraged by my broker/Insurer to take a £6K cash settlement on one of the properties. By a friends recommendation I liaised with Canham, after an initial consultation and my instruction they took the reigns and professionally project managed the repair of the property from start to finish. The stress was pretty much all take away from me. The end claim cost tens of thousands of pounds. The results showed on the property. I was so impressed with their levels of service, knowledge of the law and all round helpful, can do attitude I have since employed their services on my own property in Berkshire for structural extension works and party wall issues. I cannot recommend this company highly enough and would not hesitate to advocate their services to any private individual or professional company. Chris Harburn March 2022.

Came across this practice when a building project went very wrong. Right from the first contact with reception, they were calm, friendly and reassuring. The engineer who dealt with the situation was highly professional but friendly, and managed to get us back on track in a very short time having gone above and beyond to fit us in as an emergency. I cannot praise or thank them enough.
