If you need professional and friendly career advice – Charlotte is THE person to contact. I first met Charlotte during my studies when she was leading a particularly useful and interesting workshop on writing CVs for academic and non-academic purposes. Since then I have met Charlotte on several other occasions, during which she has provided me with informative and unbiased career advice. I enjoyed our meetings and I was particularly impressed by Charlotte’s ability to be pleasant and informal but at the same time be professional and practical. Charlotte also assisted my partner when he thought about changing his career and has been wonderful in providing some direction for the future. She assisted us both with thinking and forming ideas about potential career plans, and always came up with new interesting ideas to explore. I used Career Practic when I was burned out and hating my job. Charlotte uses an evidence driven methodology to help determine what one wants, and what one is good at. She also facilitates CV writing, job search and selection, as well as interviewing. Clients pay as they go, so it's quite reasonable.
I realized i didn't necessarily need a new job, but I did need a new attitude and probably should take some PTO.

I would recommend Charlotte for her flexible, person-centred approach to guidance. She listened well, and took a genuine interest in my progress and well being. I really valued talking with her, and discovering aspects of myself that I had not previously considered, let alone considered as strengths!

We have discussed how I might be able to approach finding and generating opportunities in areas more aligned to my core beliefs and my strengths, and I now have several ideas (with varying degrees of feasibility) that I am pursuing.
