I used David at Carley Daines when we were building our extension. I wanted a vaulted roof and the architect hadn’t put very much detail on the drawings.

David came to site, started from scratch with a plan to give me exactly what I wanted it to look like. As I project managed the build myself and I am far from a builder, David explained everything in simple terms so I could fully understand what was needed and could make sure the bricklayer / steel guys and roofer did everything right.

I would highly recommend David to anyone. Great service, value for money and a professional company.

Basement access (Ramin). I had an absolute nightmare with these. I constantly had to chase up to get plans. I waited 6 weeks and still received no plans. When a builder came around, there was no information on the plans that had been given, from no steel reinforcement specifications to no concrete type for foundations, and even no specification for the type of bricks to use. I would highly recommend avoiding this company, especially if you are working on a small project or a domestic building. They don't seem to give you the time or respect you deserve, but they take your money upfront.

A few weeks ago our mortgage company asked for a Structural Engineers Report on a property we were buying. Everyone we contacted was booked up so far in advance. I contact David who although there was a few weeks wait, very kindly offered to go the next week. He visited the property and provided the report nice and quickly and even slightly amended it (just change of names) so we didn’t have to wait weeks.
I will be forever grateful for this kind gesture and would definitely recommend.

Absolutely fantastic service. I went to Carley Daines (David Middleton) to discuss a structural problem with a floor in a ground floor apartment.
