We had a slightly more complicated situation to get a mortgage because I am self employed and had a only been back in the country for 2 years. Many people told me that I wouldnt be able to get a mortgage. I called Clarity and Alan took care of me from day 1. We weren't easy customers but Alan was patient with our needs, accurate on his advice and delivered in securing us a fantastic mortgage with a great rate. Thanks to the team at Clarity (particularly Alan) we were able to buy our dream house. We have just moved in and settled down really well. Alan is not only our mortgage advisor but also a new friend. My wife and I were seeking an equity release lifetime mortgage but learned from about eight potential lenders that our old converted barn was not acceptable as security because of its so-called 'single-skin' construction, despite being of solid oak, and having survived about 150 years unscathed before being completely rebuilt on modern foundations and infrastructure by a reputable old-established specialist builder in the 1980s to convert into a lovely home.
After all the failures, by chance we were recommended to Alan Frendo of Clarity Mortgage Solutions with a reputation for getting the impossible done. He set to work, asking us to provide much more detail than we had previously been asked for, and eventually persuaded two major lenders to at least consider our home. The first one sent their own surveyor, who loved the property, and at last here we are with the desired loan at a good rate. Well done Alan!

Myself and my husband were recommended Clarity Mortgage Solutions (Greg) by our two friends who finalised their new build/first time buyer purchase back in 2018. Greg has been absolutely fantastic from the start of our first buyer journey last year. We were not given authority to proceed with H2B but Greg managed to find us a 95% mortgage which is extremely rare for new build homes. We then came into some issues at the very last hurdle when finalising our purchase (which we had already had 14 months of delays from the developer). We reached out to Greg again for advice but instead of just responding he jumped straight back into our case; which was above and beyond of what we expected; his job was ultimately done 12 months before this! His quick response and professional attitude, in our opinion, was ultimately what helped untangle the mess that was caused with our solicitor and lender. We would highly recommend Clarity Mortgage Solutions, in particular Greg as that is who we dealt with most of the time, especially if you are a first time buyer and, like we were, have absolutely no prior knowledge to mortgages or the house buying process in general! Greg is more than happy to explain anything to you; he was also very flexible in terms of appointments so we could arrange around our 9-5 jobs. All in all, great service through what was probably the most stressful time we have endured.
