Going to a gym has never been something I enjoy. In the past, I could normally convince myself - quite easily - that an extra hour in bed was much more worthwhile than going to the gym.

Crossfit Shaftesbury has changed all of that. And I couldn’t be happier!

Sure, I can’t always do the movements in some of the workouts. I’ll rarely go for the heaviest weight in a workout. And sometimes, I just fancy a bit of a lazier approach to a workout.

But no matter how I’m feeling; no matter what I achieve in a workout, I’m always welcomed. My development - however small - is always celebrated. For every time I struggle with a movement, there are a million alternatives that are warmly encouraged. And so whenever I go to a session, even on the days I really can’t be arsed, I come away knowing that I unequivocally made the right decision to not stay in bed.

Best gym/box I’ve ever been to. Every gym out there should be taking notes from Crossfit Shaftesbury.

It's a wonderful place of common appreciation of pain and suffering! No-one will ever turn up and be made to feel anything but welcome - honestly completely what I was looking for but didn't dare to hope to find when starting out in the odd world of CrossFit
