Amazing consultancy and amazing team at Crowley Associates!

We engaged Susan and her team last year for a serious planning issue that we encountered on our house build and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Professional, informed, detailed and goes the extra mile.

Susan dealt with an extremely difficult and unreasonable LPA on our behalf for a retrospective planning application and an appeal (which is still underway). Her knowledge and expertise around complex planning issues was second to none, highlighting multiple mishaps and errors by the LPA and knowing exactly how to deal with them. Resulting in an unanimous decision at planning committee for our planning application, we believe that without Susan handling our case and her expertise the outcome would likely have been very different.

I would have no doubts in recommending Crowley Associates and would not take on any planning applications in the future without engaging with Susan first.

Approach with extreme caution would be my advice. I used Crowley Associates to represent me on a 4 dwelling development in Sheffield in 2015/16/17. There seems to be an outright hostility between Susan (who used to work for SCC and who seems to have a score to settle) and SCC planning dept. If your application is outside Sheffield it may be different, but I also found the ever shifting sands of advice being offered very difficult and expensive to navigate. I have thought long and hard before writing this review, but would really not want anyone else to go through what I did. Just to add that since writing the above review, Crowley Associates Ltd threatened to sue me for defamation, and demanded I remove the review, apologise, pay their legal costs, and pay them compensation. Thankfully I had more than sufficient evidence to prove that what I have written was a truthful, fair and indeed measured account of my dealings with Susan Crowley, and so the review will remain.

Excellent professional consultancy - we (a Neighbourhood Planning Forum I chair) worked with Susan for six years. I have worked with many planners, her expertise is second to none. Very odd indeed that someone else has commented that she does not work well with SCC, as she had a most constructive relationship with them which was immensely helpful to us.
