We had an amazing time. Staff are very friendly and all places are pet friendly. |Breakfast selection is one of the bests I’ve seen in hotels and you can eat as much as you like. |We had an apartment with balcony and it was lovely and spacious. |Only down side is that there’s no air con but with the balcony doors open and bedroom windows open it was nice and cool. Fans are provided. ||Caitlin was very helpful and assisted us wilth all requestes. ||We will most certainly come again.

Hotel was lovely. The only reason I’m taking it down is that before we got out of the car I wanted to make sure there would be rooms for that night, so checked online.
Got as far as being told there was available rooms for £98 per night. But the reason we were there was that we wanted to use the spa as well, I thought it’d be easier to book both together in person.
When we got in (5 minutes later) we ended up being told “it would have to be a lake view room” £188. Baring in mind I’d already seen there was availability for cheaper rooms.
The hotel also didn’t seem extremely full, which made me wonder whether they put us in a more expensive room to make more money that night.

Also, for the price, it would have been nice to have been able to open any windows or the door the whole way but because the outside decking area is shared with all the other downstairs rooms we had to keep the door on the latch. So the room got quite warm. (A fan was provided, but would have liked fresh air if possible).

The bar food was lovely, and breakfast was what you’d expect for hotel breakfast. The women who gave us our spa treatments were wonderful.

Main issues were being told we had to have an expensive room, and the overpriced room, felt we were paying for the outside access but couldn’t have any. (Also the outside door locks behind itself so we had to drag a deck chair over to keep the door open if we both wanted to go outside.)

Great place to get away for a couple of days. The staff were attentive and polite throughout our stay.|Spa facilities offer a good range of treatments, massages were great, plus you have access to the pool, sauna and steam rooms.|Brasserie and the Old Boathouse offer good menus but there are not a huge amount of choices for vegetarians. Food quality in the Old Boathouse was superb (recommend the lamb shank).|Well-equipped bar lounge offering bar food too.|Breakfast was very good, hot buffet, fruit, breads and all the usual bread/pastry options.|The deluxe room was well equipped but the balcony could have done with a bit of a cleanup. The room did get a little warm at night but you can open the window vents to offer some more ventilation. Big comfortable bed. Nice functional bathroom with a good shower bath.|Lots to do in the local area - I think it said 180 lakes over 42sq miles. Cirencester is on the doorstep too.|If you're considering a spa trip I'd give this place some serious thought, as this was great value for money and certainly better than a certain household name.

The gorgeous image, carefully crafted for our viewing pleasure on this company’s website is miles removed from reality, if only De Vere spent some of their marketing budget on updating rooms and staff training, staying here may have been much better value for money. Breakfast was good with fresh bread and good quality hot and cold options available. However the fruit tasted days-old on occasion and the staff often left tables dirty while standing around idle, allowing guests to clear the tables themselves if they wanted somewhere to sit. Our room was tired, there was damage to the walls in the bathroom and there was no air conditioning with poor sound isolation, so it became quite noisy at times. Good water pressure and consistent hot water throughout our stay. It became uncomfortably warm at night, the presence of a fan should have been a red flag, but strangely there was no fans in those gorgeous marketing photos. (yes, I checked). Beds were comfortable with clean bedding. The safe was not working. The hotel’s staff avoided making eye contact, so never had the usual friendly greeting you get at other hotels. Housekeeping quality was inconsistent with the coffee not being topped up, used coffee cups were left dirty for us to clean ourselves (moved to the bathroom in what appeared to be a covert but clear message), used towels taken away and not replaced … I can go on but don’t have the time. All I would say is, don’t let those gorgeous photos on their website deceive you.

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the last decade. Our experience this time was not good. This hotel is no longer a 4 stars rated standard. The staff (particularly the bar staff) have very poor customer service skills and are unfriendly/unhelpful. The bar area and sit down tables were unclean at most times. The room we stayed in had not been maintained correctly and showed signs of heavy wear and tear. The fold up bed that was put in our room was in a very poor cosmetic state. The system to use the pool is very confusing, but you can pay £10 per person to be prioritized (even though you are already a paying guest). The pool had tiles missing (sharp edges) and when i reported it..... the staff seemed uninterested. The pool surround had not been cleaned properly in some time. Bizarrely the 10% off food deal as a member does not apply to breakfast (even though it is the same company and last time i checked breakfast is.......food). Such a shame to see that standards have dropped so much at what was a great hotel.

Such a lovely hotel. A great location with So many amenities on site. My room was very comfortable, spacious And had such a great view. Receptionists were extremely helpful. It was a short stay this time but a very relaxing one, I will definitely stay here again.

We went here for a couple's celebration for a night.||The room was lovely, overlooking the lake. The food at dinner was stunning, and a wonderful selection for breakfast in the morning. The grounds are beautiful, with walking paths available for those who are interested. There are also multiple choices for venues for food and drink.||On the day we arrived we had car issues, which meant we arrived too late for our booked pool session. We spoke to the spa reception staff and they were able to move us to a new slot the following morning which was very much appreciated.||The following morning we loaded up our car and realised that the issue with our car had not gone away. We went to reception to check out, and asked if there would be anyone available to help jump start our car. The team told us that maintenance may be able to help. We told them that we were going to use the pool, and would check back in afterwards.||We returned to reception to find out that our saviours were going to be the reception team themselves. Jump leads in hand they came to our car, and after a couple of attempts managed to get us up and running (no thanks to ourselves). Kirsty, Lucie and Daisy were absolute stars and really did go above and beyond in helping us get on our way.||Thank you so much for all your help. We will definitely be back (hopefully with a working car) and we will definitely be recommending the hotel!

We had an amazing stay at De Here Waterpark Hotel! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely delicious with a great variety, the service throughout the hotel was top-notch, and our room was incredible—clean, spacious, and beautifully designed over looking the lake.

A special thank you to Eleanor who checked us in—she was so warm and welcoming, and really set the tone for a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to relax and enjoy a first-class stay. We’ll definitely be back!
