Visited for the heritage fleet twighlight running day. It was well organised with plenty of opportunities to get some great photos.

Been over today to look at the Delaine Heritage museum as it had one of it's open days. Brilliantly laid out, lots of buses to go on and look at as well as a wealth of carefully detailed history and background of the company since it started in 1890.

Owners and drivers were also there today and they were unfailingly polite, eager to answer questions and give anecdotes and further aural history of this long established, local firm.

Not open often but if you get the chance make sure you go as you'll see and learn something. Great as well that the historic bus trips out are included in the very small (£2) donation to get in.

Recently moved from Bourne to Essendine and wishing I hadn't!! I work in Bourne and didn't think it would be such a nightmare getting to work. Went to catch the bus yesterday morning.....which was 15 mins late so I was late for work. Today went to catch bus to work which again was 15 mins late again only then to be told I couldn't get on cos the bus was too full !!!!!
Fuming wasn't the word ! I was then over an hour late to work, not only was my boss not happy but I lost an hour's pay !!!! There were also 3 school children who were told they couldn't get on the bus today, what were they meant to do?!!!! Not a happy customer !!!!

Anthony & Kevin the directors welcomed a friend & I, the reason for the visit was to photograph the new ADL 400 as well as other vehicles in the fleet.
The fleet is immaculate both internally and the exterior on most vehicles has a mirror finish.
Well done to the Anthony & Kevin for keeping a fleet that is one of the smartest in the UK.

Great place to visit, the museum is open every second Saturday, you also get to go on an old 1958 bus trip to rippingale and back, which was nice.

Excellent fun, if you haven't been you must go. I took the kids and they let them sit in the drivers seat for a picture. The antique bus journey is a must. People you pass wave and take pictures. A great way to spend an afternoon. Mr & Mrs Delain Smith are absolutely lovely. Be sure to stop and chat with them.
