Cheap and cheerful cafe with a good amount of parking, indoor and outdoor seating. Saw a few swallows up close as they were flying out of the horse barn.

We called ahead and booked a table for 4 adults and 1 wee one, and we were told this was fine. When we got there, two or three tables were occupied. After five minutes, a waitress approached and informed us it would be a wait since there were "a few" tables ahead of us.
After 15 minutes she came back to take our order. The drinks came after ten minutes, and it took another 35 minutes for 4 ploughman's and a ham sandwich to arrive. This was after I chased them up. The soup was served in a teacup and was lukewarm, with 3 tiny pieces of cheese and 2 oatcakes. Not very good value at all.

Overall it, was expensive, very small portions and poor service.
I did try and talk to the owner/ manager but she was too busy talking to another shop customer. We finally paid and left. We definitely won't be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Cheese and Wine evening we attended at the dairy. It was a lovely room - light and airy with a stunning wood table. The french host (sorry I don't know how to spell his name) was friendly and charming and so knowledgeable. He explained the cheeses and wines expertly but in a way that developed understanding and an appreciation of the delicious cheeses and the way in which the stunning wines unlocked different flavours and tones. I felt I had learned so much! The whole experience was very special and we will be following up some of the combinations we tried. Thankyou for such a lovely evening. Plenty of parking there but a taxi probably a better idea!!

I took my young family along to this lovely Tea Room. It was one of those places you drive past not realizing what an utter Gem you are missing. First of all im very interested in the hygiene of a Tea Room/ Restaurant. All i can say is as close to perfect as possible and as a Dad to 2 young girls both under 5, We used the rest room and I would like to say the size! Its huge. Parents will understand. More than enough space for taming younger kids.
The Food on offer is great and of amazing value. Not going to lie the food all look amazing. The choice is wide, which is handy due to kids have wide tastes depending on their mood. The Staff were so patient and polite offering suggestions in the hard decision making process. They had the knowledge if asked about the food items on offer and don't worry my 5 year old did that. In a corner of the Tea Room there is a selection of local produce / fresh eggs etc. Well worth a look.
We had the chance to meet the lovely lady owner. Who of course was very busy! its spring after all. She took the time to talk to us and made us feel so welcome. That woman knows her stuff. Such a feeling of drive and determination from her.
To sum up a clean, beautiful and family friendly place to visit. Food of top quality and very reasonable priced. We will be back after all my cheese i bought runs out.
Thanks for reading.
