This was our first time here and we picked it from Google maps since we both didn't live in the area. The food was great. We will definitely go back there again. So many yummy things on the menu. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, the chicken burger, the fried bologna sandwich. The fried green tomatoes were very different but good. My chicken burger was very good and I ordered it with a house salad. I forgot to ask my friend how her friend bologna sandwich was, but I think she liked it. She ate the entire thing.

We are so glad we ended up here. My family & I were driving from LA when we decided to get off & have breakfast. We had decided to order French toast for my daughter. The fresh apples & bacon were delicious. I had the rosemary roasted chicken with the best mash potatoes I've ever had. My husband went for a sandwich with potatoes wedges & he loved it. We all had their fresh lemonade. I highly recommend this place.
We will definitely come back!

Cool country cottage pub style. Great view of the ocean while heading to their spot. Love the bar area. Seems like a locals favorite.

Cozy place with great food and a good beer and wine selection served by staff that understands how best to deliver it. At our table we had the baloney sandwich with house salad that was well prepared and served; the baloney taste was good but subdued in the many other flavors in the sandwich — a bolder move would be to sandwich a slab of baloney. The salad fresh and tasty. The chicken burger somewhat bland as it was ground chicken but very nicely prepared and served with salad. The roasted chicken excellent “best chicken ever” served with awesome mashed potatoes. Wines and beers served expertly. We’d go back tonight to this place to further explore the menu if we could.

I ordered veggie burger and potato wedges, and my husband ordered ground chicken sandwich with salad. The portions were generous and the food was hot. The restaurant was noisy, but that’s because everyone was talking and enjoying themselves. Unique restaurant with a fun menu.

This is a perfect hangout place. The ambiance is relaxing, and there is a wide selection of drinks that would satisfy a wide variety of pallets. The pork wings were amazing — very juicy and tender for pork! I highly recommend that starter dish! The rest of the food was good too. We had lunch here and each ordered an entree. We were a bit disappointed by the cold plates and lukewarm food, but the food quality and flavors were good. All the dishes were good (but not too memorable) except for the pork wings. See photos for the other dishes we ordered.

It’s disappointing to write this review, but I think management should be aware just how bad the bar service is right now.

To give credit where it is due, the restaurant’s food is good, the nearby bar/speakeasy they just opened is nice, but the bartender inside Flights and Irons has such bad energy. My wife and I went there a few months ago and weren’t sure if she was having a bad day or hated us, but the negative energy she gave off was bad enough that we stopped sitting at the bar since then. We probably would have spent a lot more money going there, if not for our experience.

We recently took a chance and the bartender, who used to seem quite nice and happy, was once again in sour spirits. Not sure if something is going on in her life, but she comes across cold and rude. We are local homeowners and don’t need to spend our money at Flights & Irons. We could go to other bars or restaurants. We want to continue to support the establishment, but how uncomfortable the bartender made us is making returning questionable. She doesn’t talk or try to be friendly and goes back to looking miserable whenever not talked to. Not sure if she’s just unhappy in life or with the job, but management needs to encourage a better, happier environment. Our neighbor had the same experience there. Really hope this improves, as we’d like to sit at the bar and enjoy ourselves without worrying about the bartender’s negative attitude. Also, last time when the guy next to us asked for more food, she seemed like she didn’t want to be bothered. I bet a trial with a happier bartender would bring in way more money.
