Gill is an amazing human. She brings insight, compassion and a sense of humour to coaching. Having a commercial background, Gill offers practical experience and business solutions with a dose of realism. But what I love most about Gill’s approach is her flexibility, recognising that everyone is different and they don’t always follow the same standard path. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough.

I worked with Gill for over 7 years and feel like we developed a ‘real’ understanding of each other. Always facilitating my growth whilst giving me the space to find my own way. I value her advice and courage to stand up for what she believes in. Gill has often been my coach and mentor on (and off) the clock but now our employment relationship is over, I can actually call her my friend.

I’ve been lucky enough to receive coaching from Gill on several occasions. I wouldn’t say it was a pleasure, because quite frankly it wasn’t. If you want a soft touch, look elsewhere. However, if like me you need someone to push, prod and challenge your thinking and beliefs, then work with Gill.

Gill has a frankness matched alongside gentleness. And she has intellect matched with humility. Gill has all the knowledge, skills and behaviours you’ll need in a coach. You just need to work out if she is the right coach for you. She certainly is for me!

Gill has coached me through a number of challenges and towards a number of goals. Gill has a true ability to take you out of your head and enable you to have a 360 view of what is going on, what is real and help you to find the right way for you to take action towards your goals. Don’t get too comfortable though, there’s some real talk call outs peppered in for good measure - you can’t lie to her. A skilled and brilliant coach, particularly around imposter syndrome. I wholeheartedly recommend Gill.

Someone close to me suggested I got coaching as I was thinking about some changes, I felt I needed to make in my career and life generally, it’s not something I’d considered as I thought coaching was just about improving performance at work, but I decided to give it a go.  After checking out a few Life Coaches I chose Gill as in our initial chat she just put me at ease about the whole thing so quickly and explained how coaching works; that she works with me as a whole person; life and work etc.  I booked in for 6 sessions and added another 3.  I feel like it has just unlocked so much; talking and hearing myself say stuff I didn’t even really know I thought, believed or said to anyone else.

Gill listens brilliantly and somehow even in my ramblings jumping from work to home to family stays with me, connecting all the dots and asking simple but thought-provoking questions.  I’ve never had that feeling of being really heard before and didn’t think was possible from a complete stranger.  It unlocked things I’ve never even considered.  I feel like I’ve got to the bottom of what’s been keeping me stuck and anxious, and I’ve got new confidence and self-belief to make some big decisions.  Things are falling into place; I’m changing jobs to something much better for me and so many little things around that are also happening.  I would recommend coaching now to anyone who’s feeling a bit stuck like me, and I would absolutely recommend Gill.  She can be quite tough at times; she didn’t let me shy away from some hard stuff but was also so kind and compassionate particularly when I was being hard on myself.  The thing I noticed most was I never felt judged by her.  I’m planning to keep this up and have booked in for some check-ins over the next year.  Thanks Gill, still not sure how you do what you do, but it really helped me.

Full disclosure - as well as being a paying client I am Gill's partner. I have witnessed Gill's 3yr journey to achieving her Masters Degree with Distinction in Coaching. I have seen the huge amount of work required to complete the degree and therefore know very well the depth of Gill’s knowledge and expertise in coaching. I also know she’s been doing this stuff for decades in her senior corporate leadership roles. She’s the real deal and as such I pay her to coach my own team in my roofing business and it is the highest ROI money I spend anywhere. I have become a huge convert to coaching over the last 3 years and use more than one coach myself as part of my own ongoing personal development work. Getting a coach is without doubt one best things you can do for yourself and I would highly recommend Gill as a great coach who really knows her stuff.

I wanted to leave a recommendation for Gill rather than a review as we’ve not finished our coaching yet. I work in a roofing company and my boss suggested I might benefit from coaching as I’ve stepped up into a team leader job and would like to be a manager soon. I had no idea what coaching was, other than sports / training, so didn’t know how it would work, but I agreed to try it. It’s quite hard to explain as it’s nothing like sports coaching. Coaching with Gill is unlocking stuff for me, different ways of thinking, of seeing things, seeing myself and understanding things from different perspectives. She makes a comfortable space to talk about stuff that I wouldn’t normally talk about. It’s confidential. I describe it as hearing my own thoughts out loud. Thoughts I didn’t even know I was thinking and when I am hearing myself say them to her and she replays them back – it seems to unlock stuff about myself I didn’t previously know. We’re working on how I stretch myself bit by bit into this role, finding confidence to try new stuff, but the thing I’ve found most is my own self-belief is growing, it’s more than just self-confidence and this self-belief is helping me push myself, even when it’s uncomfortable and I make mistakes. Gill doesn’t push me though; she seems to guide me to push myself and having the space to reflect on this in our sessions is great. I didn’t know what coaching was and I still can’t find the words to describe it, but I’d recommend what I’m getting so far from coaching and Gill as a brilliant coach to other people like me.
